If you were to take the best hosts from both stations and put together a lineup would Kap be one of the people you would pick? Not sure what he brings to the table, have heard J Hood doing some national stuff and he sounds way better without Kap. Will be interesting to see how the Chicago sports broadcast market adjusts to new business models, guys like Kap and Bernstein seem to have the connections to hang on and at least draw a paycheck until the very end. |

Some are speculating he's about to land at Marquee. |

That would make sense, the Cubs local broadcast product is the blandest it's been in my lifetime, the Sox broadcasts are much more entertaining, maybe Kap could inject some life into the "hey I sound like everyone else" play by play guy and the old Astro dude. |

David Kaplan occasionally gives an honest Cubs opinion. I can't believe Marquee would ever tolerate that. He'd have to switch over from being a partial shill to 100%. |

Kap walked off mid episode on his & GW's podcast over a GW comment. They really slug it out unlike how Kap has to tiptoe with Hood. |

As thin and drawn as Kap looks he says he regular goes on 18 hour fasts. Kap is like Mulli. Not go-to guys for sports talk. But, at least haven't forced sjw views on their listeners. So still respected and haven't totally alienated their listeners. He must be glad he never went to the Score now financially in ruins. And if he was there now he'd have to bow to Larry Holmes' views and be his puppet as not to offend him. |

Kap says nothing and does so with conviction. There ought to be room in sportstalkery for that type of serious unseriousness. |

Kap plays the I'm offended card. But at least it's sports related not social issues, or Haugh's clarity and transparency thing. The Score from 10 - 6 does it's thinking man's psychological analysis of sports by very unlikake people making them easy targets of being mocked. At least Kap steers clear of that tedious lane. |

I agree and this isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm not a huge fan, but I don't dislike him. Viti....he's nothing like Mulli. Mulli can't articulate a sentence and has the mentality of an 80 year old. Kap is nothing like that |

Mulli can't articulate a sentence and has the mentality of an 80 year old. Kap is nothing like that Back in my coaching days we had a freshman football coach that the head varsity coach would say would, "be wrong, but go strong", because the players couldn't question or challenge him, find Kap to be that way, he takes strong viewpoints that are totally nonsensical or unimportant, and occasionally Hood will belittle him or destroy his argument, but for the most part he does it so often that everyone gets tired of the act and just lets him ramble on and on about nothing because it's his bit. Have loved J Hood ever since the show back in the day where he called out Telander, but even Hoodie seems to get worn down by Kap's rambling broadcast bits. He also supposedly saved Larry Holmes from getting his ass kicked numerous times by doing the "hold me back" thing that Holmes talks about from time to time. |
