While the cubbies have feasted off of injured opponents during their playoff runs, it appears they need a bigger boost this time. Roberts should be a good sport and bench another player along with Seager to even things out a bit. Who would be the candidates?

Puig- injured tongue while fellating bat
Jansen- broke a rib laughing at Cub batters swinging and missing his pitches
Turner-crabs outbreak in his beard after day off visit to Tijuana

I know a team that somehow was fortunate enough to play 2 teams in post season with injured Cy Young winners. Crazy.

I'm so glad the Cubs playing October baseball has given us Sox fans so much to talk about. We have to use up our annual October free-time on something.

I thought Cubs fans didn't care about that team though?

The OP (a Sox fan trolling in the Cubs section) brought up teams benefiting from injuries en route to a Championship.

2005 White Sox were awesome, though, even with the fortunate events surrounding their title.

Stay out of the Dodgers section.

It's sad that we are in the final days of good dolphin's Cubs posts.

Taking down a 102 win team will be tough...much tougher than taking down an 89 win team in the World Series(there really should be an * besides that..non-accomplishment.)

There is a fairly prominent defense attorney in my neighborhood that I have split Sox tickets with in previous years. There was a school event on Sunday. He was wearing a Dodger hat. I was wearing an old school Angels jacket with the LA on it. We saw each other and laughed without having to say anything.

I knew the life of a Sox fan was pretty sad..but shit..that really is pathetic. Maybe The Subdivision will get to experience the playoffs this decade?

I wish I lived in an area where people cared about the Cubs so I could do this.

Real Sox fans don't care about the Cubs.

It's not funny. No one even reacts when I wear my Bartman costume.

Based on what I'm reading about the secondary ticket market for tonight's game, Cub fans don't even care about the Cubs.

We are not a monolith.

We each celebrate our Sox love in different manners.
