After the Dodgers finish this series off, NL teams have won 6 of the last 8 World Series, even when home field advantage usually swings the other way.

As long as you win two or more.

That's your third declarative statement of the day on subjective issues. Careful or you'll get a bad reputation around here.

Hate to break it to rpb, leash, and don, but this isn't really a subjective issue. There's objective data we can use to evaluate which league has been stronger this year, and it's been the AL. Frank wins again.

This Just In! Championships no longer a barometer for success after Chicago Cubs win 2016 World Series. Developing story. Join us at 10 for more.

I thought the Finals are in June?

Tell you what, if the East wins 6 of the next 8 Finals, then yes, the East is better.

What does 8 years ago have to do with who's better now? I don't think you thought this one through.

I've thought it through plenty. The NL has been better than the AL for an 8 year period. The best of the AL cannot beat the best of the NL. YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME.

You do, and the AL wins MANY more games against the NL than the other way around.

As I said, you're not into championships. That's cool.

Championships are good. I'm smart enough not to equate an entire league or conference with its best team. You're still kind of new to sports I think, you'll get there.

His entire statement is false. The data he is referring to may be objective, but the conclusions drawn from them are subjective.

Fuck you, A.L.!

That's a pretty funny attempt at rationalization. All the data points to the Cubs being way better than the Sox this year but I guess it's subjective whether or not they were actually better.

Who are these folks who think the winner of a championship means that league/conference was stronger overall? That's all time stupid.

 "Some people think the WS is the better measure" is as subjective as it gets.

So you guys think that facts are false and subjective huh?

Saving this one for later.

Im legit worried that you are having a difficult time understanding my very clear statement.

My statement was not "DOWN WITH SUBJECTIVE OPINIONS"

That would be quite insane, especially on a message board.

It was that you treated a subjective opinion as fact.

I haven't even weighed in on which league is better, only the flaw in your post.

What the fuck are you talking about? I was simply stating that FF's data is also interpreted subjectively. I wasn't arguing another dumb Cub-Sox thing. Relax, there aren't Cub fans hiding under your bed.
