I've got nothin' on the serious train people who actually know stuff about how trains work or get sent to Riker's for impersonating MTA employees. Mostly I just have a superficial interest (I can't very well call it "surface-level" if I'm more interested in the L, can I) in city planning from reading The Power Broker ~8 years ago and I like the idea of nice public spaces and alternatives to being stuck on Chicago expressways. As for knowing media history, this is a media forum, I have nothing to apologize for.
