Please!
Berns said Friday that OKC is better than Miami in every basketball category, basically saying the Heat have no chance to win the NBA finals.
Still don't even know if Miami gets there. I think Dan wants to see the series, even though
he's clearing upset with King James for making the "basketball analyst?" look less than credible with some of his NBA observations.

Apologies for repeating myself (I've posted this in like four threads now), but people keep misconstruing this. It's pretty simple. Bernstein is building up OKC as unbeatable because that way if the Heat lose, LeBron's legacy doesn't take a hit--but if they win, LeBron has proven himself against all odds.

Yeah, it's the same false handicapping that the Cubs used to "enjoy" on this station.

I thought this was going to be about Kid. I'm sure he'll be disappointed when he reads this.

I think Dan is just slow to realize how things are ..he is stubborn and hates to admit he is wrong...Miami is going to lose and then he can say " yeah, the thunder are the best team in the nba, and Durant is a beast"..which most nba fans have known for years.

Goff pointed out last week, that he hopes people realize that OKC isn't winning because they are younger than the Spurs, but because they have beasts on their team. Apparently, this show is the only one that realizes that Durant/Westbrook/Harden can play.

Goff is another one who is slow to realize what is up..he was still calling kobe the best player in the league 12 months ago...kobe has not been the best in the league since 07...I thin it took berns until july to realize quade was a fucking clown in over his head.

The station had a sports book guy on yesterday who explained that the opening series line of OKC -135 represents that the books consider the Heat to be the slightly superior team (expected line for evenly matched teams with a home court game 7 is -150)

It's one thing to think that the Thunder will win the series, it's completely stupid to think that the Heat have absolutely no chance to win the series as Bernstein argued last week.

No, it's the opposite of stupid. He's preemptively justifying all the invective he'll hurl at LeBron haters if the Heat lose the series.

I agree with you on Bernstein's angle. I don't (or can't) believe that someone who fancies himself as a smart basketball fan can come to the conclusion that Miami has absolutely no chance unless he's already trying to cover the LeBron James attacks that will come his way, and, with the opposite outcome, to celebrate how unbelievable James is.

Blackhawks already won the Stanley Cup up 2-0, unless they don't, in which case LOL white people blew it again.
