A letdown is right for the White Sox in Minnesota last night in Kevin Youkilis' debut. He may have gone 1-for-4, but guess what, White Sox fans? He's not a #2 hitter, and the top of the Sox lineup last night was flat out terrible. The trio of Alejandro De Aza, Youkilis & Adam "The Strikeout Machine 2.0" Dunn went a combined 1-for-12 in the 4-1 loss at Target Field.

On the whole, Youkilis is a definite upgrade at 3B, but he's not a #2 hitter, and hopefully, RV realizes that it was more productive when 2B Gordon Beckham was in the #2 hole instead.

Did anybody hear Terry around 5:33 (I was in the car and looked at the clock because I knew I was going to want to ask you guys about this) talking about Matt Forte's contract situation and the impact it might have on the Bears' locker room? It sounded like he was going to say that he thinks it's going to negatively affect the locker room because other players are going to worry about getting paid, but Dan interrupted saying "No, No, No...", which caused Terry to, it seemed to me, do an about face and make it sound like "people" have been saying and "all he's been hearing" is how it's going to negatively affect the locker room but he didn't think it would. After Dan made it abundantly clear that he thought it was nonsense, Terry nodded along and agreed that the infamous "they" were wrong.

Yeah you pretty much nailed it. Happens all the time. Investigator Bernsie is also an expert in sports team psychology/locker room mentality.
