I heard LoHo say on his own show that Steve's a UFC fan. Maybe Bernsy wasn't listening when Holmes said it...

Flash the Boilermaker Rick signal! I have to disagree with Dan Bernstein!

"Purple" is a flavor. My friends and I determined this in January 2001 on a band trip where I was drinking a bottle of grape soda. While I will dispute that cherry or strawberry are said to be "red," the disparity between the way artificial grape flavoring tastes and anything that is actually made with grape tastes is so cavernous that "grape" is an unacceptable description of the flavoring, leaving one to simply call it "purple."

Purple is NOT a flavor; it's a fruit.

This might work

Along these lines, "Orange" varietals fit this description as well.

Blue might be the best example. I mean, "blue raspberry"? Come on.

I dunno. Fake orange still tastes like orange, just an amped-up caricature of orange. There is no world in which grape soda tastes like a grape.

Watermelon's another one that gets a little out there. But I love it! Why can't I find good watermelon soda? I'd live on it till it killed me.

Also, is it weird that I just knew the bad soda and good soda mentioned would be Vernor's and Cheerwine, respectively? I've never had Cheerwine, but I knew a guy from Asheville who raved about it. Vernor's is gratuitously gingery. Just give me Schweppes or Canada Dry. I always get ginger ale when I fly. Is that weird?

Not all brands tasted the same. Had one in particular that other than color had no delineation to orange. They had a good lemon lime where flavors matched names. Not so with the orange. Was it Fanta? Both the grape and orange were good, just not relative to the name.

I only drink orange Sunkist for my orange soda needs, so I wouldn't know.

I wish Dave hadn't mentioned blue raspberry. One time, I drank an entire 2-liter of JollyGood blue raspberry soda in one night. Never again.

Did anyone ever get the flavored drinks that come in one-gallon milk jugs? I think I did once.

Yes. They were similar to sunny-d with multiple flavors. Very sugary colored drink.

Some "clown" who obviously never used a wooden bat broke one of Larry's wooden bats in a softball game. Larry wanted to stab him in the heart with the remaining shards of the bat! THUG LIFE!!!

The unintentional humor meter has broke!!

I got the blue raspberry one, I think. Looked like a jug of antifreeze. Tasted like kool-aid, though.

I didn't get the whole thing about flavored chips being big in The Community. Who knew? Though I suppose if whiteness mecca Panera Bread only has plain, reprehensible, salt-flavored chips, it would stand to reason that the logical converse is that black people like chips that actually taste like things. I've always loved BBQ Jay's, Hot Stuff Jay's, and jalapeno Krunchers!, so there.

If the show was independent league baseball possibly. But even the Windy City Thunderbolts don't really look for "club" college players. Can someone find an old HF yearbook and see if Larry actually played for their baseball team?
