MITC will back down. He clearly doesn't want to debate and instead wants to do what he does which is a drive by filled with troll level commentary. It's not even worth it.

If he can't get the ultimate point I was making then I'm not exactly going to be upset that he thinks I'm a fucking idiot.

The ultimate point is that your idea of entertainment is shit. No baseball fan has any right whatever to criticize anyone for anything.
Wow. Another useless point by MITC! Who saw that coming?

I'm not even that big of a baseball fan. It's my third favorite sport by a considerable margin. I actually chose it as a reference because I find it to be the most boring of all American sports. Even hockey is more interesting, though I don't like it as much. Baseball is still significantly more intricate and varied than the greatest bike race in the world. Are you denying that?

No, it's correct.

There's nothing difficult to understand about it whatever. It's just stupid, is all. It is, in a literal sense, ridiculous.

MITC,
Stick to land rent talk and leave the sports discussion to people who do it well.

No, it's wrong on many levels.

I think you nailed it here. Cycling is for people too stupid to understand sports that have anything but basic strategy.

For which one? MITC lives there. Brick went to school there. RPB camps there.

Have they allowed the fires yet rpb?

Yes. As of two or three weeks ago. Good times.

Chess is strategy. Go is strategy. Baseball is shit. That you don't know the difference says all. A vast array of silly rules doesn't make something strategic or interesting; it just makes stupid people feel they're smart for knowing them.

Given how you are posting in this thread I'm not exactly going to put much stake into your characterization of my intelligence.

It's an entertainment argument, pure and simple. I can respect the best cyclist in the world. I don't have to find watching what they do to be fascinating whatsoever.

Right. Its just not a great spectator event.

I respect the hell out of Jonas Salk. But it would be pretty boring to watch him cure polio.

It might be entertaining, if you actually had polio.
