Dan has become one arrogant guy.

I am trying to figure out what gives him the right to speak the people the way he does? He grills them like they are being cross examined at a murder trial. He brow beats people then hangs up on them. Other times he acts like a 6th grade girl by pulling the old "Wait a second! You did NOT say that!" or "Where did you get that information from?"

I know it's his show, but acting like a tool is a real turn off to listeners...

now that dan's the FOTS holding fort in the most coveted shift on the station, the old fun/bad/gay/underdog oasis in the middle of REAL SPORTS TALK is gone and we've got a show that, despite its branded claims to the otherwise, aspires to be MORE than just the old fun/bad/gay/underdog and impart something of MEANING to the listener.

whether it's the CTE/childrape stuff getting serious and transcending sport, or whether it's the holy grail that is teaching people what the mike linebacker is, i personally think it's dan's mission to "do something" with the show that he's been given, if anything so when he looks back at his career someday he can say "i gentrified my audience and helped to improve the quality of the average chicago sports fan" which, in truth, makes most of us pine for the good ol days.... you know, just like the board was and always will be so much better two years ago!

He didn't have Terry with him, so there was no one to add comic relief. He's one of those talk show guys that tries to one up all the callers and dissect their points and demands specifics as to what he believes they made up about what he said before they got on the air.

If people are stupid enough to call into his show then they deserve what they get. It very recently used to offend me but then I realized that most of the callers are morons, not just on the B&B show but every show, even up the dial. Any adult who wants to call into a radio station, and be placed on hold for 20 minutes just so they can say "Lovie doesn't show any passion", or "you think we can Trade Hester for a first round pick?", or ask for the thousandth time, "who do you think will be the next coach?", is an idiot. And they are an even bigger idiot if they call in with that crap to Bernstein. In this case I applaud Danny.
