By the way, a late addition to the game plan. "NFL on FOX" & NFL Network analyst Brian Billick joins the guys @ 4:30P. Billick, Thom Brennaman, Laura Okmin & Chris Myers are tentatively scheduled to work one of the NFC Divisional Playoffs next weekend. Hmmm...

"Jason, you've been...Edwin" is making me laugh harder than any George Ofman bit has ever made me laugh before, and that's really saying something. I cried at "Ford sold below escht employing pricing" or whatever that was.

I had the show on for about 3 minutes today aound 1:30. Did I hear Dan say that he thought the o-line wasn't as big a problem as believed and that the D isn't going to drop off as much as people think?

Yes. I believe he suggested there were 3 or 4 linemen that would be fine. Not a complete overhaul type situation. He has been touting inside knowledge that Carimi was hurt all year and got much better. Expecting big things from him in years to come.

Wow. He must have been watching a different Bears team then I was. Borderline imaginary TV.

How do I know which ones are "real football," other than whatever Tebow ran in college isn't?

and how do evaluate the value of any particular "scheme" when "all schemes can work"

And now, another gem from CBS Sports' Doug Gottlieb. Another shot at Syracuse HC Jim Boeheim "not being great" in this hour's "CBS Sports Minute".

The McCaskey's aren't cheap, Emery's a genius, Cutler's amazeballs x1000, the OL is fine, the defense isn't regressing. Good to see something has filled the big empty Ozzie-sized hole in Dan's heart.

His over the top reaction to the Emery presser and those football statements have me wondering if Dan suffered some sort of head injury over the holidays.

Interesting, apparently Hub is deathly ill. That would explain his being off his game the past couple of days. I though maybe he was hitting the bottle or something. Dude didn't even listen to the Emery press conference.

*SIGH* Look, I didn't need to listen because I knew what he was going to say. Emery is typical of a certain type of general manager. Whether that results in success for the Bears or not we don't know. But there was nothing new in that press conference.

Damnit, I want to podcast the show just to hear this, but the worst website in the history of earth doesn't have it available yet.

You forgot Dan's pre-emptive "ifs", Terry's "I don't know for sure, but..." And of course their repeated caveats that things would have gotten worse and therefore could get worse.

I like when the Red Sox beat the Red Sox, or was it the Reds beating the Reds?

Every time this gets brought up I immediately head to YouTube, turn on some Offman and pee myself.

Reds beat the Reds, Red Sox traded Brendan Donnelly to the Red Sox. I think one of these was also the day you could meet the Score's Anne Maxfield from 12 to noon.

The Phillies sign Jamie Moyer. He'd have looked pretty good on the back end of Lou Piniella's staff.
