He said that he thinks there is less head trauma in UFC than in football. Does he have any statistical evidence to prove that?

As far as the force of impact the NFL is far more dangerous and has led to critical injuries including paralyzation.

MMA has yet to have a significant head trauma injury as of yet. Sure some guys take more shots but a lot of times the punches are glancing or not full force to the critical points to the head. MMA is still a relatively young sport so the long term affects from the damage in the fights is yet to be determined but im going to guess thats gonna be similar to boxing. KOs are concussions and there are fighters who have been KOd well over 5 times. Guys like Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva and Crocop have been brutally KOd multiple times and have suffered significant changes like slower reaction time and inability to take the shots the once shrugged off.
