Urlacher wanted a 2 year $11 Million deal, the Bears offered him $2 Million for next year. At some point you need to make a decision & move on & the Bears made the right move here.

Let the Nick Barnett era begin.

I love Urlacher but he is a meathead. The Bears gave you more money in the middle of a contract and overpayed you the last two years. So take a little less (and I imagine when all is said and done it will actually be a little more) then what YOU percieve as your value this year and keep your dignity intact.
