What is the story with this "Welcome to Yankee Stadium!" thing that plays on the stream every 45 seconds? What is that? It's not a commercial.

I've been hearing it for a long time but I seriously just thought it was a B&B drop that they were overplaying to be funny.

I'm sure this is quite upsetting to listeners who'd expect the eloquent Terry Boers at this time.

I'll bet drinky asked Mitch for Doug cuz he wanted to be the smartest guy in the radio studio one time.

This really is "Italian Dumb and dumber"

Connor comes in at 4pm? I think drinky hates Connor. Connor is younger, more accomplished and his star is on the rise with Mitch and Zim.

Only a Matt Bowen & Doug Buffone pairing would be worse.
This has to be the point where Drinky realizes he's past 40 and still a glorified intern.

I'd pay good money to hear a Buffone/Bernstein pairing. A guy who knows a ton about sports but chooses to be a meatball vs. a guy who knows nothing about sports but claims to be an authority. Red hot radio action!

Is NFL special teams practice talk really better than NASCAR discussion?

Its been done before, doubt Doug can now exercise the requisite physical restraint like he could when he was younger.

Dustin Rhodes used "boughten" or "broughten" on M&H last week. M or H (can't tell them apart) called him out, but he just kept talking.

"Broughten" is the proper usage in cases where you really, really, like without a doubt, fucking brought something somewhere.

McNight and Drinky? Sounds like a Sunday afternoon show. Jesus, it's a tough listen.

Yeah. It was rough. Drink said he's hosting with Terry for the next few days.

Somebody think of a drinky game to play. Like Larry bingo.

Fear not, Beardown, Score Darling Connor McKnight is coming in at 4 to repeat WSCR talking points and sigh wearily.

Has Connor McKnight ever had an insightful thought about anything?

I listened to him and drinky yesterday, and he seemed to excel at saying nothing for two hours.

I much prefer the work of the semi-literate but earnest Adam Hogue. He is already a better Bears beat reporter than Kerner, ZZ and Holmes.

What is your evidence to support the claim that Connor is a "star on the rise" with management? He is an update guy who co-hosts the Sunday morning baseball show--is that the fast track to stardom?

I much rather listen to Doug's reminiscences about past training camps than B&B's pontifications about steroid use or their obsequious deification of the status quo.
