Did Terry say he saw Kris Bryant play in the College World Series? If he did that's a really neat trick because Bryant's team didn't make it to the College World Series.

He watched that right after he talked to his offensive lineman guy about Richie Incognito

I'm fine with Bulls conversation, LongTimeGuy. Notice what I wrote. "Intense Xs and Os." It's boring. It's boring with most sports. This is a very provincial town and when the Bulls aren't good, very few care. Breaking down out of town games/rosters, etc. isn't going to get me ratings.

There is nothing more boring to me than Bears training camp talk. Yet for years the score would subject people to endless talk about some obscure wide receiver or running back and how they looked good in camp. You yourself engaged in "Countdown to Bourbonnaise" talk as though it was some sort of a sports awakening. Basketball is a more exciting and relevant sport than bears training camp talk. Thats my point. Its also more relevant than fishing. You understand the ratings aspect more than I but basketball during a period in which nothing else is going on has to be more interesting. You may not like the sport and that is fine thats your choice but some of the topics discussed are not more relevant yet often times they are discussed. Training camp football was so important to programming that the score would go on location just to be closer to the action. Fantasy football is often boring sports talk in my opinion yet it is often discussed. Is that more relevant than basketball also?

The Bulls have sold out every year since Jordan retired. Its hard to say that very few care when you're selling out the stadium. That was always a score talking point. This is not really a Bulls town its a Jordan town. There isn't an athlete in this city with a higher profile than Derrick Rose. He has played sparingly during the last three years yet the Bulls are still interesting. It is too much of a cop out to say that very few care. They are not championship contenders this year but I truly believe that is due to injury more than anything. I understand the part about ratings and ultimately that is what matters. The part about being provincial is also true. Chicago fans mostly care about Chicago teams and that is why I find myself when I do listen to sports talk checking out the national stuff offered by ESPN. its why I always liked Chet's show. He didn't just concentrate on local stuff. How many times can there be a discussion about the same coach and player before it becomes redundant. Every offensive coordinator that the Bears have had has been bashed repeatedly on local radio. Every quarterback also. It becomes predictable and in the end you find that you're really not learning anything new.
