No, Dan has always appreciated the humor behind Gwar. They've come up several times. I remember one time he directed listeners to Gwar doing a cover of some song on The AV Club.

i stand corrected then. he just got jumbled up into the rest of the leftist dopes who always assumed gwar was a musical circus oddity and never paid them a lick of attention.

as a metal head, i was super excited to go to a gwar concert, in richmond, va of all places. it was one of the WORST concert experiences ever. just awful.

I wonder if Dan would have been a Frank Zappa fan. I think he may have spoken kindly of his work in the past. He's really not a music person, though.

In the early days of the Score's website, Bernsie's bio listed Dave Brubeck as his favorite musical artist.

Yeah, Take Five is one of the most important albums ever made, jazz or otherwise, but Brubeck isn't really favorite-artist material to me, again, jazz or otherwise. I have a respectable collection of jazz albums and still only have three by Brubeck.

That tells me that he wouldn't know Bill Evans if his corpse was in his bed.

Don't get me wrong I'm not some artsy bitch who thinks you can't like both; one had an incalculable amount of talent, and the other was very talented and happened to be well asoociated with Joe Morello & Paul Desmond.

He can appreicate the art without having the slightest idea about the craft; more and more it seems like a systemic problem with his self-presentation.
