I hated their hit song back in the day, but have learned to appreciate it.

It was always good.

I know, I know, you preferred Savage Garden

Yeah, it's a decent little piece of trip-hop.

I saw Lucky Boys Confusion in 1999, when they were the house band at the GameWorks at Streets of Woodfield.

Gravity Kills was great live

There was this one band that had one popular song in the brief "industrial" alternative rock phase and I remember people saying they were the future

Total one hit wonder. I cant remember the name though. fuck.

That reminds me of the Mortal Kombat soundtrack:
Gravity Kills
KMFDM
Orbital
Fear Factory
Type O Negative
Napalm Death

All killer bands.

"Free to Go" was in American Beauty, I think. Nice summer song.

Not the biggest Barlow fan, but that whole Folk Implosion record is quite good.
I prefer it when he shuts up and just plays bass in dinosaur jr

Big Fan of New Radicals. However, these music discussions are so Meatpants-y. Revisiting this. Enjoying that. Treasuring such and such. It's so white.

Do you have "A Love Like That"? I heard it was supposed to make the album but missed the cut. It should have made the cut. I enjoy and treasure it.

"You Get What You Give" is probably one of the best songs of the decade. It's transcendent.

MAKE MY NIPPLES HARD LET'S GO

You wouldn't think one of the best albums of the '90s would start with "Make my nipples hard, let's go." You'd be wrong. #NaNoWriMoOpeners?

eels and Nada Surf are still putting out good records, and HUM is canon at a biblical level.
Stabbing Westward blows, and their "lead singer" is really into underage Asian girls, (Allegedly......).

My friend Stu Zechman was the main songwriter in that band and the only thing they had that was worth a damn. He wrote "UnGod" which is really pretty much the same song as "Hey Man, Nice Shot" by Filter. Stu loved that guitar lick.

I listed at least 9 hip hop albums and only like 5 or 6 of them are white people approved

marcy and OLP have a special place in my heart. 7m3 has a few really well done songs.

the rest of the list are 1 hit wonders with songs that i either enjoy or are nostalgic.

i'd take manic street preachers, kyuss, dinosaur jr, faith no more, pitchshifter, placebo, and screaming trees over the lot if forced into a choice.
