It's Hillfolk Justice. We as a civilized society were never meant to understand it and it is out of our hands.

Aside from the law stuff, I'm going with the tried and true "It's not a tragedy!" as the other chief talking point.

My guess: Driving really fast cars around an oval track is a dumb form of entertainment. You see low the IQ of these guys in the way they act, like running one another into walls or getting in pit crew fights. While hitting someone on the track is not acceptable behavior, it was only a matter of time before this happened because of the racing culture.

He'll try to wow us with something basic, that he thinks is REALLY. SMART. like, "even if he's not charged criminally, he can still be held responsible in a civil action. The burden of proof is different in a civil action".

It's crazy that we missed the obvious "Oh yeah hockey sucks too because of this." from Bernsie. Happened 4 minutes after the topic came up

The worst part of all this is that we have to hear people discuss auto racing on sports radio. And in the same year as the world cup. When will we find an end to all this senseless tragedy?

"This is the same overblown machismo that leads to hockey fighting!"

No lie, that transition was one of the worst segments I've ever heard in my life.

Good thing the NBA , MLB, NFL are above such things.

Dan losing his shit over the outcomes of the first preseason Bears game is something I just can't do. I'm going to go get really sunburned, bye

only 2 segments and you're checking out? comeon dude... this is radio where dan's about to "preside" over the issues of the day, much like whenever you catch a NFL on FOX game of the week joe buck is there to preside over the stories/issues of the week.

your thoughts on NFL/subject X aren't complete til joe buck shows up at the end of the week to tell you "what it is" regarding everything. basically, you find out if your thoughts were right or wrong

It's funny how adamant Terry is that Tony Stewart, a renowned asshat, wouldn't deliberately do anything to try to intimidate or send a message to some dude trying to "upstage" him...

"he's a freak like jeff samardzija or lebron james"

earlier this season on IRC there's a dude from south bend who fancies himself to be THE #1 CUBS FAN ON IRC!!!! you couldn't go and have a talk about pitchers doing well in the first half without being reminded that jeff samardzija is just as good and likely even better if you really stop and take a look at it.

this disease is very real and needs to be addressed. if you can tie it into the unvaccinated bernstein might just save the world with this one!

this is a show where you really feel the loss of jason goff. if he were here he could let dan and terry know if tony stewart is now eligible to get a teardrop tattoo.

Am I understanding correctly??

...a renowned hothead douche...Stewart is NOT a bad guy for killing someone..."accidentally"

"he gave away hats and t-shirts at a hospital" at one time or another...

but a football player who was known as being a good guy until he knocked out his woman IS a bad guy?

This is absolutely hysterical. The great and all-knowing Boers--who will instantly brand a ballplayer, totally by innuendo, whose hat size went up by 1/16 as an evil creature up there with Hitler and Stalin, or declare virtually all college FB and BB coaches as despicable human beings (unless it's Bob Huggins, or someone else that Bernstein approves of)--has pronounced that Tony Stewart, with a history of douchebaggery, is in the clear here.

And then you wonder why this station, with complete clowns like B&B and their mid-day ratings king, who has pretty much decided he doesn't want to show up for work anymore, is in decline.

Yeah. It was just awful. Ok Terry it is something you like but please, I don't think Stewart intended the outcome but I believe he would have gone after him. Just admit that old man. Horrid show. I want bob from niles opinion.
