They're scared to break bad on B&B. These Score people.

But they need to look at it a different way. Especially the producers. Why not go after him? That might be your way to media success. If you look at the history of Score producers, they pretty much stay Score producers. They never advance even though they all think they will one day.

So I say break bad on Bernstein. Yeah, you'll get fired. But maybe somebody else looks at you and says, "That kid has balls, I'm gonna hire him."

Now maybe that doesn't happen. You still have to not suck. But that might be the best way. Ask drinky and Goff about the other way.

Drinky won't do it. He's gonna be Bernstein's producer for the rest of his life. He's cool with that. He's got protection and comfort with that. That's fine. I understand that. He gave up a long time ago.

But how about Shep, Herb or Zawaski? Why not, guys? Why not go for it?

Bernstein is right though. Notice none of the national guys refuted it. They all went with it.

They'd all have loved to have been the ones to say that he was wrong but they didn't.

Dan: Well, I was told that there was another meeting. Late last night after the afternoon meeting. The meeting was in a room.

Terry: Yep. That's what my guy said. Yes, in a room. Yep.

Dan: There was a table and chairs.

Terry: My guy didn't say anything about a table and chairs. Not saying there weren't. I just didn't ask and he didn't say.

Dan: I'm told that people spoke.

Terry: Yep. Words were spoken. No doubt about that.

Dan: After they spoke they left the meeting. Nothing is resolved. Everything is still on the table. So that's where we're at. I expect more this afternoon as I am told another meeting is scheduled. I will pass it along once I get it.

Terry is off for the next couple weeks. Please revise Beardown Theater to include Barry Rozner.

Bernstein is gonna win this lie. Trestman will be fired, obviously. He will be burned by the "educated guessed false reports" one day. Not now. He survives until the next one.

Honestly, I won't be surprised if Trestman stays and the rest of the coaching staff goes. You would think by now that there would have been a leak to a real media outlet reporting the decision to fire Trestman at the end of the year. Instead, everyone is just speculating it.

But some are refuting it indirectly. Even in this city, you have people like John Mullin saying that Trestman won't be fired (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/06/trestman-appears-safe-despite-bears-lousy-season/) because it would mean Emery is admitting to a monumental mistake in the hiring process. When I google Marc Trestman fired, I only see one guy from Yahoo and Florio using Bernstein's tweet as truth. No other major outlet is running with a story that says Trestman is to be fired at the end of the year. In fact, googling nfl coaches fired gets you back a lot of black friday articles that only list Harbaugh, Ryan and Sparano as candidates. Articles included NFL.com and SI. I'll search more, but as I said, won't be surprised when he doesn't get axed.

Finally. Spiegel did it. Said the Marshall stuff was BS. So basically called Bernstein a liar. Basically said Dan made it up.

Bernstein will have Spiegel fired for this. So nobody else will do it again. But at least it was done once.
