I started a thread about this a few weeks ago and most on the board disagreed. GMs want to see high draft picks play. Thibs refusal to play young players unless he absolutely has to has to be an issue for management.

Thibs is in a little bit different spot with Mirotic in his rookie year as well.

Agreed. I just hope he continues to play the guy once Gibson returns. Mirotic looks a lot better when he plays more minutes. The team has not really suffered much with him playing increased minutes. Thibs will be in a tough spot because Gibson is an established veteran and a guy he trusts. Mirotic does more things offensively and the offense doesn't seem as bogged down while he is in there.

I want to know why both Gasol and Noah are in the starting lineup because you never see them on the court together after Noah checks out in the 1st. I'm guessing Thibs doesn't think they play well together.

Yeah, I was there last fall for 'Skins/Broncos. The place is forgettable. We need to do another Winfield outing!

If Dan had a real source, he'd tell us whether the Bears will cut Cutler next week (I'm pretty sure the Bears know their decision by now).

Dan's entire column just sounds fabricated.

They won't cut him. It's obvious. They'll still try to trade him after that deadline.

Right now, teams that might want Cutler are also trying to figure out if they want to trade up for the Oregon QB. Once those teams decide they don't want to do that, they'll think about if they want Cutler. Maybe call the Bears.

If not, the Bears are cool with keeping him for 1 more year.

I have no sources, but this is just logical deductive reasoning.

I know there's no shortage of WYC marerial on this topic, but Dan saying (paraphrase) that he "always feels good when we dump a wife-beater from our fair city" has to be at the top of the list. Remember when Dan welcomed Marshall to our fair city basically because he's a wife-beater?

I'll just say this:

Here are two guys who spend hours each week slamming white athletes, who invented the derogatory term "white basketball", who have bashed and ripped any white player comparable to McDermott, and we can either believe:

A) They sincerely believe that McDermott is a freakish exception to the rule they have established themselves, that he is the sole white basketball player who can go nutsack to nutsack with the Big Black Studs in this Grown Ass Man's League

or

B) They think it's a funny bit to say, "Uh, eh, eh, yeah, again, in my basketball world, I, I, I, I really think this guy, this guy can really be something in this league, uh, eh, DOUGIE McBUCKETS, my guy!!!!!!! Yuck, yuck, yuck." And now they get the added bonus of using his lack of playing time to leg whip Thibodeaux on behalf of the Bulls front office.

I know which one I'm going with.

They really are something.

"The league is full of bad guys. Sometimes you have to have them on your team". Paraphrasing but I believe that was the gist of their reasoning when Marshall arrived.

like the anti-vaccine people you can believe what you want and still be wrong. I don't know if you're one of the guys who claims to not listen to B&B but I do pretty much every day. Terry was sincere about both Beckham and McDermott - Regardless of the shtick they put out about white athletes. When it turns out they were wrong it may become a running joke but that's not what you are implying.

And you know they're sincere, uh, how exactly? The B&b fan seems to vacillate between insisting they're great guys doing shtick or telling us about their unquestionable sincerity.

I've listened enough to know that the Beckham thing was a joke from the beginning. Do you watch Letterman? Terry takes his style and approach directly from him. Picking some ordinary guy and playing him up like he's the next great thing is straight out of that playbook. "Eh, oh, oh, this Beckham, he's, he's, uh, yep, I really think, and in my baseball world, uh, look, this kid he's an absolute can't miss, that's him, Gordon Beckham, my guy!" And then bernstein giggles. Yeah, real sincere. But you can be as wrong as you want too.

the difference is I am a fan that actually listens on a regular basis. I also can recognize the difference between sincerity and sarcasm. You don't like them and it clearly affects your viewpoint. You are wrong on this one but I also know that you'll never concede a point so I'll just say goodnight.

When I listen to them and/or read posts from their fans it's very difficult to figure out if they're geniuses or idiots, sincere or doing bits/working shtick, reporters or PR agents, journalists or entertainers. Maybe they're just all things to all people. White basketball sucks. Except Dougie McBuckets. MY GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
