The stuff about people being jealous that Paxson isn't their boss is mind-boggling.

It's not boggling at all. The only thing surprising about it is that he said it before I could pretend he said it.

Dan said the coaches Paxson fires never last as long at their second jobs.

Scott Skiles: 337 games coached for Chicago, 344 for Milwaukee
Vinny Del Negro: 164 games coached for Chicago, 230 for LA Clippers

Take that bet, Jason. Dan is, however, right that Bill Cartwright has not done much coaching since World's Greatest Boss fired him.

The best part was when he doubled down on the "he's a great advance scout" faint praise, adding "and I'd pay him a lot of money to do it." I'm sure he appreciates the generous offer to scout rec leagues for Jason but he'll probably have to go with being the head coach of the Nuggets or Knicks.

One side thought I have regarding Dan's dad. I suspect he is very happy Dan makes great coin and has made a life for his grandchildren. That said, I am doubting he is yelling how proud he is of Dan's profession at his social clubs. This I feel is the point of Dan's radio changes over recent years.

There is not a lawyer in those slave quarters they call an office who wouldn't trade places with Dan.

I meant the country club, golf type big shooter partner buddies of his dad. Their kids are Harvard doctors and lawyers. Think about it.
