It very much exists and it doesn't matter. If someone is bitching about it in the sense of being lazy writing I get that. But to suggest that there need to be more positive depictions of white men in popular culture is fucking laughable.

Its not a mean thing. Its a term to describe the very common situation where a (usually) teenage boy has a crush on his female friend and she sees him as a friend.


Ive never thought of it in the angry way some describe here or that it belittles the women.

Ex. Sir and Cheryl Scott- the man is usually happy simply being allowed in the presence of the woman
