I, TOO, watched The Frugal Gourmet as a youth. My mother even got his autograph inside one of his books. I think he appeared at a Marshall's out here or something. I probably watched a lot of non-children's orientated PBS programming as a kid. Most of it was the Britcoms that aired on the weekends. Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Are You Being Served?, The Benny Hill Show, and Blackadder were my favorites.

All of those are good shows, even though as a kid some of the humour went over my head. I also liked Dave Allen at Large.

I happened to stumble onto that the other day and couldn't believe it was still on the air. Pat Buchanan actually hasn't aged too badly, but Eleanor Clift looked like a corpse.

I never watched that until college when the son of big politico turned me on to it while we were hanging out before going out on Saturday nights

What did Goff say about Fred Rogers?

I don't know, but it started when they were talking about one of their guests and Bernstein said he must be hiding something/leading a double life like Charles Kuralt. No one knew what he was talking about, so he went on the explain that Kuralt apparently had four different wives and families. Bernstein also said he assumes that people like that all have some dark secret.

Kuralt had a second wife and family in Montana. It made the Norm MacDonald as Kuralt SNL skit even creepier.
