The best audio in Score history. I crack up every single time.

It's classic, but I'm still going with Dan McNeil and Terry giving him the business about a "towering line drive"

That's great dialogue, but "Skip Perry, Skip Caray, whose pappy was the Legendary Harry and whose son is Skip, died in his sleep last night, make that his son Chip" is a freestanding gem. It's almost a poem.

... to the tune of 'The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald' ...

The legend lives on from 1000 on down of
The producer they used to call 'Drinky'
The Score, it is said, cares not a whit for her dead
When the books of November turn gloomy

With the old bits no more, the show's usually a bore
And call screening is not done by 'Drinky'
That good show and crew was eventually screwed
Once the gas tank on Terry was empty

The show was the pride of the non-meatball side
And the callers were often as funny
As the main shows did go, it was bigger than most
With both Danny and Terry well seasoned

Concluding some terms with some Hochberg-led firms
With some noises and a couple "Hey Buddy's"
And the meatballs at night couldn't say too much right
And ol 'Drinky' was there to re-play them

Does any one here know where the love of God goes
When ol 'Drinky' and 'IceGirl' quit meetin'
The posters all say that the whole thing is gay but
The attention whore just won't stop tweetin'

In a musty old hall back on Belmont they prayed
Hoping one day they'd be back together
And Offman was primed to flub twenty-nine times
'Bout the burial of Red and his children

And Georgie then read a-bout Skip being dead or
Was it Chip or maybe Harry (by cracky!)
But the Score, it is said, never thinks of her 'dead'
When the books of November turn gloomy

I think the Youtube crowd has got all of George's malaprops except for one all-timer, wherein George reports that Mario Elle broke his wrist attempting a dump.

Was "LeBron James got a Hummer from his mother" from George or one of the other update guys? Also haven't found that on Youtube.

Never heard that one, but it explains the poster named LeBron James' Hummer.

You guys truly liked that??

It wasn't so much the tournament itself so much as what it represented. It represented that the show liked to have fun. It's why Friday Fung, Quote of the Year, etc. were so enjoyable. Those days are long gone though. Now it's snooze radio.

Oh. I haven’t listened in like a year at least. Are you saying it’s bad because Matt is gone?

I think the Score in general is worse off with Abbatacola gone.

Everyone is worse off without drinky but you have to look back and smile about your time with him knowing no great thing lasts forever.
