As some of you might know, McKnight was previously employed at WLS and did sports updates for Dahl as well as White Sox work when they used to be on that station. Months ago, Dahl bought several tickets to the May 1st production of Hamilton with the intention of all members of the show going with their significant other. Dahl talked about it being understandable that McKnight would want to leave for the Score - it would be his own show, more money, etc. ("A chance to work next to Dan Bernstein -- Wow!") Even though McKnight is no longer part of the show, Steve still wanted to leave an offer on the table for him to come with the show as they all parted on good terms. Dahl sent an email several weeks ago, but no response thus far from McKnight. It is the same Gmail address that McKnight wrote his goodbyes from, so there's no issue with a confusion of email addresses.
Seeing as none of this would be on the air or affiliated with a company, there should be no reason that McKnight couldn't attend from a contractual perspective. If he doesn't want to go (for whatever reason), wouldn't it be better to write back and come up with some excuse? Not sure it is a great idea to unnecessarily burn a bridge by not replying... maybe he just forgot to?
This is the next chapter in the great McKnight gossip book. Soon to be published with 4 total pages.
How the fuck do you know this?
