Actually a decent listen. Have heard Ryan on the Saturday show with Bruce a few teams and he's an easy listen. An actual radio voice and he should get more air time.

McGuffey was fired up about the booing during the National Anthem, but then realized what station he was on and said, there are good reasons to be booing....so pathetic.

Also says that people are losing their jobs day after day (probably a reference to DOGE) so NBA players should play in the all-star game.

Leila just wants to give more money to players but doesn't know how that will solve the all-star game issue of nobody caring

They did talk sports though so I'll give them that, but they do have these overtones into political positions that are not needed and show their lack of expertise.

To me, on a plain (non HD2) AM radio on a noisy highway, Leila's voice is practically unintelligible.

cbc interviewed a political science professor from a canadian university and he said the booing of the usa anthem is a response to a 'genuine threat' from washington.

i don't believe canadians are living precariously under a genuine threat from washington. the new govt. in washington, has dealing with illegal immigration and fentanyl as focuses. we realize they were not focuses under biden, trudeau failed to realize there is a new sheriff in town and adjust accordingly. since the time the so-called tariff war nearly came to a head, trudeau adjusted and the tariffs were postponed.

tik-tok videos in canada from coyotes with their rates advertised to get illegals into the usa from the north. it is brazen.

The current NBA revenue split is 51-49 in favor of the players and the league just signed big new TV contracts with ABC, NBC, and Amazon. Great news: they're getting more money.

It's unfathomable how rich basketball players are. It's not just the stars. All you have to do is make it to the second contract and it's generational wealth.

How is that hard to fathom?

Grayson Allen makes 16 mil per year. The NFL salaries are only marginally better team for team with double the revenue of the NBA.

Yep, players like that, role players are making $15-$20M.

On the Bulls, they just bid against themselves to keep Patrick Williams on a 5 year, $90M deal when he has shown, at best, glimpses of potential and is closer to a bust/role player than a team's top contributor.

NFL has 53 active roster spots on a team, NBA has 14

so much NBA money is given out based on projection rather than play. NFL is usually pretty good at not giving out ridiculous second contracts to draft busts. The NBA doubles down, maybe because the players are still so young.

The NFL salary cap was $255 million for 2024. The NBA salary cap is $140 million for 2024.
