These clips just make me sad that Dan decided one day he wanted to do serious radio. He clearly never wanted to do Friday Fung, QOTY, Tournament of Bad, or WYC. We learned pretty quickly into the Bernstein & Goff era that Terry was the driving force behind all of those.

I don't know about that. Friday Fung was very much a Bernstein bit: the throughline on most of Friday Fung was that Dan's reach exceeded his listeners' grasp. I mean, I just listened to an Ed Farmer Soundalike Contest where most of the impressions were just a guy saying "hi, I'm Ed Farmer" and hanging up. Half the people didn't understand Live Ringers. No one understood Sports Apologies. When people got the bit, it was hilarious, but there were some real stinkers. Tournament of Bad was very much Dan's idea, too, because I remember him coming up with the idea in real time.

That said, I do think he tried to shed too much of what made Boers & Bernstein work. Maybe some of that was Jason. But all that went away in favor of "What's On," a segment where they told you what they were going to watch on TV.

"I'm watching the Nuggets vs. Suns and then I'm going to talk about it for 30 minutes tomorrow"

Which I think is somewhat the ironic part in all of this, Boers and Bernstein had fun talking sports. Similar to what barstool does today. Bernstein went off the deep end in 2011 and never really recovered.

Whats on sounds better than "what's in the vending machine"

you have a new subscriber. i've been listening to these all day, including the new ones OKC dropped. the friday fung call where the guy condemned his own house (which sounded like a nice mcmansion) was wild. and the bees one too.

these old clips are also just making me nostalgic for the golden era of the internet, and the early years of youtube.

I didn't save a lot of the PSDs because I didn't think I had a reason to, and I'm sure some of them got deleted altogether. That's most of them, minus the ones that were entirely about the board.

Monet-ize Everything is still my favorite, followed closely by Robot Telander and Division/Chicago.

Which strip club was "you think you can close...deals? Mr. Hotshot (hotshot hotshot hotshot)" from? That wasn't Heavenly Bodies, was it? It was another one.

These are amazing. What is the Rt 83 reference, is the star wars dude named Clark or something?

I think the idea was he just sounded kind of like that guy.

The Cheryl Scott one was Laurence making a video where he sneaked up on her and scared the shit out of her. I remember Beardown requested the Wang-Whippers one.

I'm a simple mind, but the Ofman flowchart and Senor Columnist had me rolling. I have missed a great deal.

The one thing that comes to mind immediately, is Boers with his Larry Horse stuff. He got a bunch of guests upset with comments attributed to the ficticious Larry Horse and their reactions were priceless. Meanwhile Boers would stress they weren't his opinions, he is just repeating what Larry Horse said. I don't recall Bernstein doing any parody songs, jokes or bits that were ever funny. But Boers had a good sense of humor.
