I don't mind NBA playoff talk - it's May and there's only so much Kyle Tucker/PCA or Caleb talk (although they will beat those topics into the ground most days). If you're going to have a NBA guest on, why not just talk playoffs without bringing it back to the Bulls? They do this for the most part, but every interview always comes to how these teams impact the Bulls direction or just general questions on how they will approach the off-season.

There's plenty of time to talk NBA Draft/free agency and I'm good with some of that in June/early July. It just seems forced to feel the need to talk Bulls off-season in May and asking guests about the Bulls though feels like a lazy obligation to serve the Chicago audience.

The problem is that the Bulls are largely irrelevant and they don't matter, especially right now. Ask those questions closer to the draft/free agency. Outside of their first round pick, they aren't likely to make any major acquisitions before next season and are more likely to develop/focus on their young talent.

It could actually be an interesting angle, leaning in to their outsider status. I have heard Leila say that if this was another team's QB, Bears fans would consider it an enduring story until the QB spoke. Some "in-town stupid" at play.

But, alas, they are not good radio hosts. So they cannot leverage that unique inherent trait and instead are not good AND outsiders

Agreed on that, Rodgers is a nut...but it's lost on Leila how much inaccurate information she and Dan gave out (not blaming me them in the moment), but a lack of reflection on how bad the "science" was and the lack of awareness they have while they still think they were responsible in their views.

Leila thinks fans are angry at her for asking Caleb to speak to the new book. She mentions Dan Wiederer and Mark Grote as allies in her fight.

Per Leila, the backlash from fans pointing out the reality that Caleb needs to address this. Fans are frustrated and the danger of being wrong about another QB is what is behind the anger of fans.

If Caleb has a bad game, don't say you're not going to think about Caleb not wanting to be in Chicago.....per Leila.

The more she talks...the less intelligent she sounds.

She seemingly wants to take a non-story about Caleb and turn into a story about how she is covering the Bears. She addresses a text saying that nobody cares except her and Marshall, and she gives Dan Wiederer and Grote as evidence that this needs to be addressed. So 4 people vs. 2. Gotcha leila.

It's hard to drive a show, pretend to watch listener feedback, but then cry victim when people (listeners) don't like what you say, particularly her very bad takes.

That the #1 overall pick didn't want to come here and was just barely cajoled and reassured into going along with it is a non-story?

It's probably worth mentioning that Leila and Marshall seem to have very different philosophies when it comes to dating and relationships. Probably nothing, their chemistry is so good otherwise!

I don't know. I think she would be perfectly happy to be left alone at all times and never made to have a social interaction on anything but her terms.

However, deriving observational comedy from patrolling people's manners is a classic PMC white woman bit, so if she has to be inconvenienced and debased by someone saying hello to her in public, at least she can embarrass the guy and derive content from it.

Leila was in the right. She's talking in a small group eating a hot dog. A guy barges in her space wanting to shake hands with God knows where that hands been. A lot of women would of told him off. She handled it well.
