I don't know much about Barstool, or it's culture/leader, but have inferred that it wouldn't mesh with Dan's pseudo-intellectual take on sports/important_issues etc. While I've only read negative stuff about Portnoy, I say more power to him if he can finally deliver some shots to bubble boy Bernstein. Dan has no issue fueling an important_monologue with old thoughts/statements of others, and painting his targets with a broad brush, so I'd be ok with seeing him actually face some heat for awful things he has said in the past. As has been said, Dan has positioned himself in a comfy little vacuum where callers are hand picked and any 'haters' are summarily muted/blocked etc...

I am a bit confused by the extreme level of offense Dan BERNSTEIN, host of the BERNSTEIN and Holmes show, has taken at being addressed as BERNSTEIN.

It should be noted that in the past Bernstein has said Ron Gleason gave him the "Bernsie" nickname as a way of distracting anti-Semitic listeners from the fact that he is Jewish and has a classically Jewish last name. Consequently, it seems odd that he would prefer to be addressed in a manner rooted in presumed anti-Semitism. Equally strange is the fact that he also preferred to be addressed as "Dan" given that the use of a first name implies a greater level of familiarity than does addressing someone by their last name.

I can only conclude that BERNSTEIN is a douche.
