He's once again in the chair usually occupied by Terry, but the Daily Herald's Barry Rozner is once again sitting in with Dan B. on the "Boers & Bernstein Show" this afternoon. Just like yesterday, the guys have a lot to discuss and here's an outline on what the guys might have planned:

*A Less Than Ringing Endorsement from New Bears' HC Marc Trestman on Urlacher's Future
*Controversial New Rules from the NFL Owners Meeting in Phoenix
*How Much Longer Before The Bulls Forget About Derrick Rose's Return?
*CSNC's Kendall Gill Facing a Suspension?
*Blackhawks/Ducks: A Potential Western Conference Finals Preview?
*John Danks Gets Pounded Again at Spring Training; White Sox Starter DL-Bound?

All that and a lot more today following the daily transition with Mac & Finfer around 1:15P-ish. In addition, Bernstein explains why there's "No Need For Urlacher to Retire a Bear" here:

Yesterday Bernsie said he was "so sick of the Urlacher story." So then he wrote an article about it.

They might play audio of what new Bears' HC Marc Trestman told Laurence earlier today out in Phoenix during this afternoon's show. Trestman sounded kinda crabby, too.

Would anyone like to guess who wrote this lovely comment?

"I've been a Bears fan since 1968! My grand-daddy had season tickets, and so did my dad. When it was time for me to take the tickets, I decided that the Bears ownership is greedy with the PSLs, and the "new and improved" Soldier Field, and so I only go to games when my friend Rudy invites me. But I was at that game when Urlacher intercepted that pass and ran it back for a TD in 2006. He's awesome! If fans want to see their favorite player, a guy who doesn't care what they think about who coaches the team, as his skills continue to deteriorate in Midnight Blue and Orange, or those white jerseys, or those throwback jobs, or the alternate orange which I don't particularly like, that's our business! Brian Urlacher is a Chicago treasure, like Soldier Field used to be, before they added flush toilets. He's a modern-day Studs Terkel, if Studs had been less folksy and likable. Remember that time Brian said ..."I love being a Bear, I love this city, its fans, and I bleed Bear Midnight Blue and Orange! It's such a thrill to play football for this great city that I'd do it for free."??? You wouldn't be saying any of this if Brian could still run fast, or play football like he did when he was 26."

Thanks.

Dman.

I still haven't gotten to your PM.

I think that it's fair to say I probably never will.

Say goes for the one I received from Elmhurst Steve.

Damn SHARK, you're on top of your game with getting these show threads out there. If I had a chance to create today's thread I was going to title it "If this show is so wrong then I don't wanna be right"

Steve Stone is said to be HAAAAAAARRRDDD right. Then talks about fighting settling into the Kendall Gill wheelhouse. Oh yeah, I'm ready for this show. The presence of Pucks Rozner means we'll get no less than 3-4 Hawks segments so the TALK MORE HAWKEY crowd will be appeased enough to yell "DON'T TALK HAWKEY" but then Rozner will be there which means it's going to be a conundrum akin to dividing by zero.

BTW I'm setting the over/under on Vancouver mentions at 2. Whaddaya got?

oh my lord, I wonder if Schmutzie is still railing off all of those Lil Wayne [reference] puns that he was firing off wholesale on Twitter the other night when Lil Wayne was first reported as being in critical condition. I mean... Lil Wayne Randazzo? Holy shit I'd better rinse my mind out with a hundred Eaglo Jeff jokes to prevent any cardiac arrest accrued from the nonstop guffawing.

Let it be known that Schmutzie was thee first one out there, braving the slings and arrows of the unwashed, dropping knowledge bombs on those sorry motherfuckers about how war is bad.

Expanding on that tweet was concentrated sadness, just a bunch of Benstein toadies congratulating themselves for how enlightened and above it all they are.

SeMANtically speaking, there is no such thing as "free speech" when Schmutzie is around. Everything he says is worth its weight in gold, Jerry.

Trestman is already cranky. If LH makes him cranky, that is not a good sign for his long-term mental health.

Trestman better watch himself. He's liable to get knocked the fuck out. He's being salty with a guy who's been known to throw a punch.

Right! If he's like this now he's gonna go full Howard Beale by week 6.

Personally I think its encouraging that he is annoyed by Laurence. Shows intelligence and quality of character.

I bet Coach Trestman would've been just as snotty if someone else interviewed him. Imagine if Zach Zaidman held a mic in front of him in that same situation instead of Laurence.

ZZ would be all whispery holding his red-headed microphone in Trestman's face.

I disagree. I think Trestman would've been just as snotty if other reporters were in that same situation. Bet the rent "Mr. Multimedia" will have some thoughts of his own come 6P live from Glendale, AZ.

I think it's ridiculous for Rodewald to say that Earl Campbell and Walter Payton would have "no place" in today's NFL because of this new rule. They would have adapted their style of play, just like everyone else will.
