1. Drinky will take on critics of his reporting (Drinky: Bring it on, bitches!!!! My response will be "Fuck You" but I'll take calls on it anyway.)

2. McNight will act like he's better than drinky

3. The rest of the show will probably be the same type of B&B stuff.

if SOMEBODY (aka ANYBODY) doesn't call in as "Bear Down from Boardville" today then this board has no balls. I'd do it if I didn't have a relatively prodigious rep with calling les, cuz i'd hate to get banned from the station.... but if somebody's got a work/wife/friend's cellphone # they can call from, man, it'd be worth the mandatory stationwide call/text ban, wouldn't it? =D

oh and i'm not calling for stupid trolling stuff.... no bits or jokes.... just a regular call on air as "Bear Down from boardville" will likely get Drinky in a "special" mood that will cause all of us CSFMBers to mark out. it'd be glorious.

That is, unless drinky is Beardown, which wouldn't surprise me in the least =D

For as much as drinky piles on when Dan & Terry mock "typical" sports talk shows, he sure does do a schlocky job when he's given the big boy chair. "ayyyyyyy, tell me about how you split up time (between in-laws, your family etc) on the holiday!!!" then a duet of "wait, Ted Lilly did really well back in 2008...oh, wait, no he didn't" with hack-a-thon master McKnight.

Also, LOL to drinky's career: he's worked himself all the way up to holiday fill-in host paired with a CONTEST WINNER. WTG, bro.

Finally, lemme guess: he didn't address his horrid "scoop" of a Cutler story, right?

ETA: Jesus, what craptacular radio. I'm out. Now they're talking about how McKnight is "going to make up an injury for one of Chicago's high profile athletes" and they giggled like school girls. Hang on, now it's some hot proposal talk.....way to keep your finger on the pulse, Matt. #booooooooooooooo

I heard about 20 minutes from the show today, and it's amazing that there's nobody better to host a show. Both of these morons said they couldn't think of any reason why someone would think the Bears could win in Minnesota, and Drinky spent about 10 minutes saying his story on Cutler was correct and he has made his name over 12 years in the Chicago market, so no reason to make up this story.

I've been listening as I clean up around the house and it is just as you described. I would think that if their goal is to one day be full-time hosts that they would try and do a legitimate show and sound like they came prepared to prove that they could do this, if not here then someplace else, five days a week. Instead, it sounds like amateur hour with a couple of guys who aren't particularly interesting talking about whatever pops into their heads. The riveting story of Matt's proposal finally got to me PTFB for good.

The regulars must love hearing stuff like this.

  at the last 2 posts. What a fucktank Drinky is. He basically played the don't pay know who I am card in reference to the Cutler story huh ? Hes probably matched contest winner Steve Berger for the amount of pn air shifts this year. Keep plugging away Matty you'll get there one day. Anyone can have a bad decade. As far as McKnight, he's turned out to be a disappointment . Thought he wouldn't go wannabe smart guy radio route but I guess the Bernstein mafia runs deep.

Yes, drinky, people know who you are because you're the producer of a popular radio show and you talk on said show. The popularity of the show has nothing to do with you. But, of course, lots of people in Chicago know your name because of Bernstein's show. You are correct.

Not what people are saying, you idiot.

Nobody knows you for anything you've actually done in media. That's the difference.

That's what they're saying about your Cutler bullshit.

I believe this same "it's a holiday, I've got stuff to putter around and do, I'll fire up The Score" shift that originally got me to LIKE drinky....that's what's funny. Whatever ears you DO get today are DYING to enjoy what you're producing. These two dopes don't care. I literally hit the STOP button on my audio app as he was capping off his incredible proposal story "you mean a ring like THIS?!?!?!? (that was my last "win")" LOLOLOLOLOL.

Seriously, over a decade at a job and you are EXACTLY at the same spot as some idiot that won a contest at Buffalo Wild Wings?!?!?!?!?! Wait, someone paid for McDoink to go to Vegas...I guess he's technically ahead of drinky.

Clowns, indeed.

The thing is it's not that Matt has stayed in one spot the whole time. He'll inch up (morning show, Last Call, Saturday morning, Hawks postgame, Cubs beat, filling in for Dan) and get busted back down on each of them, with the possible exception of sitting in for Dan with Terry, and Dan is barely off anyway.

Didn't hear the first half of the show, so don't know if he addressed it. But he was taking some shots at Cutler when I tuned in. Talkin' shit about how B&B beat Cutler's radio show and other childish things. It was kind of pathetic.

touche.... but the only reason i made that post in the first place was so that when matt read the post he'd tell his producers "yeah if you get a call from anyone claiming to be "Bear Down" don't even put them on my screen. hang up on them" cuz you know beardown's in his head much like that one guy who heckled ed werder.

if i was actually gonna do it i wouldn't have posted it on here b4hand.... maybe sometime down the road, eh?

Hmm, I could be tempted to listen to Bernstein's foot soldiers tie themselves in knots trying to rank any of these bobos ahead of the guy with two championships.

I caught five minutes, and they were talking about how many garbage cans they had in their homes. They were talking about the difference between a garbage can and a waste basket, and whether or not one belongs in the bedroom. Riveting stuff.

Can no, basket yes, and shouting "Yipee Ki-ay motherfuckers" while slinging a used condom is just in poor taste (if you don't pick it up before she gets out of bed).

re: waste baskets

throughout my entire life, almost every bedroom i've ever lived in, frequented, or visited had a waste basket in it. that whole conversation was completely asinine.

I once dated a girl who insisted on the TV being OFF at all times in the bedroom. We lasted a month.

I believe our very own Spaulding has stated that bedrooms are only for sleeping and fucking and thus have no place for a television.

Chus entered the bedroom for two reasons: beer and sexing. And they're all out of beer.
