so i guess if you think that any women who are found to fabricate rape stories should get any sort of punishment for that then you are part of / supporting the rape culture! wowee zowee pavement fans!

so basically, if a woman ever wants to claim she was raped, whether it's real or not, it should be investigated (with the presumption of guilt for any male/s involved, tho they'll never formally admit that) and even if it's found out in the end that the allegations were fabricated you can't even think of finding any sort of fault in the woman who fabricated it because then you're spnsoring a "rape culture" where you're trying to scare all women into never reporting rape again, cuz clearly if women making up claims of rape for ANY REASON are punished then in the future actual-rape-victims might be afraid to tell their story / seek justice because they think that they could be punished if the authorities drop the ball and don't convict the guy/s involved? holy shit that's scary.

i still can't get over the thing where (not necessarily in this case) if a woman is found to be fabricating rape allegations if you even THINK of seeking consequences/punishment for that you're supporting #RapeCulture.

it basically gives women a #SafeSpace to claim rape whenever they want for whatever reason they want (including nefarious/financial reasons) because even if it's found out to be a legit scheme to get a 6-7 figure LIFE-CHANGING PAYDAY(TM) if you punish that woman you're going to potentially scare off future rape victims from coming forward with their stories (especially against rich/powerful ppl) because if they dont get a conviction they could get in trouble, and therefore they might be too fearful of that punishment to come forward with their story; therefore you cannot punish ANY woman who makes/up rape allegations.

when you think of how allegations can leave a permanent mark on a man's name, man, that's not just having your cake and eating it too.... that's having the whole damn bakery and i don't know how the eating part of the metaphor works out!
