He just doesn't want to have to pay for Latin, even with a mid six figure income and an inheritance in the eight figure range that is not too far in the future. He will proudly proclaim he chose selective enrollment because of diversity but the reality of a place like Payton is that it isn't all that much more diverse than Latin.

Up yours you fraud.

You nailed it.

That's what I hate about Bernstein. He has always said he hates blue collar people. But these tweets are him trying to act like the common struggling family. He's anything but that. His kids will have all of the advantages.

I don't begrudge Bernstein for having a rich Dad. Nor do I begrudge him have a 300k salary. He's earned that. I just don't want to hear him say that he and his kids go through the normal struggles like everybody else. Which is what he's trying to do. Because he doesn't. But I'm glad his kids got to live around brown people. That was great of Bernstein to give that to his kids. What a great Dad for making that decision. God forbid one of them marries a brown person, though. Then Bernstein will regret not living in the suburbs. It's all show with him. I know his true colors.

I agree with what both of you had to say. Also, I think the fundamental issue with Bernstein, is that it's hard to be an honest liberal/progressive person when deep down you think you're superior to everyone else.

To further that thought, Dan said he had to marry a Jewish girl when he was dating. So he's really not into diversity. It would be one thing if marrying a Jewish girl was for actual religious practice with the kids. It wasn't. He's not a practicing Jew. It was so his kids would be from superior genes in his mind.

There are several ethnic or religious groups that get a bit of a pass on that issue. Jewish, East Indians, Chinese and Greeks that I have personal first hand knowledge of. Someone more expert on these things can explain the differences but a SW side Irish Catholic dad demanding his kid only dates an Irish Catholic person is usually not really looked upon favorably. Bernstein in your example all good.

I may be too hard on Danny though. Maybe he would have married Whoopi Goldberg?

Knuckle dragging, mouth breathing imbeciles does not equate with blue collar workers.

Let's see... anyone with a Chicago accent, anyone in the 815, and anyone who lives South of I-80 are all specific documented shots Bernstein has taken multiple times. Do you see any commonality?

I'm sure when Bernstein mockingly said to put Chris Zorich at linebacker in a thick Southside accent, he was mimicking the neurosurgeons at Northwestern Medicine.

COMMONALITY IS NOT CAUSATION! Oh wait that was that was another Bernsie rant.

It sounds like you are making the same stereotypes as Bernstein though.

The biggest issue with Bernsie is being fake. Evolving and all of that. We accept a lot worse people here but just be real.

Bernstein was as real as he could be with both Boers and with Goff and you hated him for it and wanted him to change.

He did and now he's "fake".

This is what you guys wanted. A nicer and less controversial Bernstein.

Right. It is his hypocrisy and fakeness that is a turn-off.

Disagree with you. Bernsie was real, for me, years before Terry so don't crap me. His goofy radio way back then on weekends making a goof on Ivan Calderon etc. He is closer to real now on radio outside of ads then that crap Terry and Goff era. Twitter is way out as far as real him.

Bernstein almost destroyed his whole career because he would rather talk about Penn State for weeks instead of things people actually wanted to listen about. How much more real can you be?

The Penn State stuff might have been real emotion, but the rest of the shit he says is laughable. Bernstein is the definition of a limousine liberal.

Do you really expect us to take a guy's racial outrage seriously when he once called a women's basketball team a bunch of wildebeests and said he would like to breed Brittney Griner?

He's a hypocrite for sure but anyone who talks on the radio for hours every day for 2 decades is going to be unless they never say anything interesting at all.

I mean, of all the people who should understand having a political position evolve it should be the guy who was all in on Bernie and then Trump.

Genuinely evolving is one thing. Do you really believe he spends more than 2 seconds a day genuinely concerned about the plight of the less fortunate?

Bernie and Trump aren't that different, btw, but let's not get sidetracked.

Why didn't he genuinely evolve though? It's not like he still says those insensitive things.

I just don't. I don't think Dan Bernstein has it in him to care much about others. His tweeting, to me, is the epitome of empty virtue signalling. I don't follow him - just based on what I see here. You're free to believe he changed, but I don't.
