Oh no doubt she is brutal. She would be fine for a fill in role or a once a week addition to a show. But she should never be driving a show. They have set her up to be a failure and to look horrible. Harris is just a hood ornament. He adds nothing. He was fine with Bernsie as Bernsie actually understood how to drive a show and could carry him. But Leila has no ability to do that.

Just a few mins ago she was going on about Matt Shaws leg kick and how much fun that is to talk about and it makes a fun show.

Just caught The Battered Bastards of Baseball on Netflix the other night — can’t believe I missed it when it first came out. It’s one of those stories that seems too wild to be real, but it totally works. Kurt Russell's dad running an independent team full of misfits and making it work against the odds? It’s like Major League but in real life.

Also finally watched Welcome to Wrexham (I know, late to the party). I was kind of skeptical at first — thought it might be another vanity project — but it actually has a ton of heart. You end up caring way more about the fans and the community than you expect.

Anyone checked out that new documentary on Bill Walton yet? Think it just dropped on ESPN. Curious if it dives into his broadcasting weirdness or sticks to his playing days.

It could actually be an interesting angle, leaning in to their outsider status. I have heard Leila say that if this was another team's QB, Bears fans would consider it an enduring story until the QB spoke. Some "in-town stupid" at play.

But, alas, they are not good radio hosts. So they cannot leverage that unique inherent trait and instead are not good AND outsiders

She seems to care a great deal about any criticism of her.

Does she? CHSN didn't hire her. She's got fired by NBC. Now she's doing broadcasting for WNBA games that nobody cares about.

I had thought she left the full time radio show because of TV. Now she's accepting a full time radio job because of TV.

I'm curious where she's getting all of this horrible criticism. On X, I think she only allows approved followers to respond, and she isn't that active to begin with. Instagram? Text line? Or is this the case of a few unhappy listeners that she is exaggerating because she's so sensitive.

I think it is lots of areas. Texters. Anything on the internet. X and Instagram. She comes off to me as a person who reads and takes in everything. And the littlest thing said about her that is not overly positive is seen as horrible criticism.
