Like I said before, I wouldn't consider him the best. But even you, somebody who doesn't seem to particularly care for him, ranked him No. 5. That's pretty good. Often times, the top 5 of any list can be interchanged from time to time. What is the criteria. Flow? Lyrics? Longevity? Rhyming skills? A lot of this can be based on taste...

The one's that immediately come to mind, and I'll refrain from Wu-Tang as well, because it's just not fair then.

Mass Appeal / Gang Starr
Check The Rhime / Tribe Called Quest
How I Could Just Kill A Man / Cypress Hill
Fair, Love and War / Killarmy
Diary of A Madman / Gravediggaz
Off The Books / Beatnuts Feat. Big Pun
Strait Outta Compton / DJ Quick
Shootouts / Nas
Aint No Future In Yo Frontin / MC Breed
Gasface / 3rd Bass

The list could go on and on.

I understand it's all about one's own opinion, and everyone's criteria is different. The number five at best comment was more to me accepting people could rank him at five on their own personal list. I for one only have a top four, GZA, RZA, Nas and Rakim; I can't place any other mc with them, but that's just me. I will give props to Jay Z for telling me that "like short sleeves he bears arms."

Seconded. The Beastie Boys and to a much much larger extent Rick Rubin, cast quite the shadow in the history of Hip Hop.

Guess Who's Back - Young Jeezy

Close it was actually "Go Crazy" by Young Jeezy. A song that samples "(Man, Oh Man) I Want to Go Back" by Curtis Mayfield & The Impressions.
