I'm sad. Terry was great and has been a big part of my moves as I could stream them wherever and still feel connected to a place I no longer lived.

All good things must come to an end but I don't see myself enjoying another show as much as I did B&B and MJH before that.

Bringing in Rozner full-time would mean I tune off the Score for good. I can't stand him. I'm really interested to see the lineup in January. And I reaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllly hope CH is wrong about Dan, Jason, and Julie. Fuck and no.

Well said. Sad time. Terry is by far my favorite score personality ever. Station will never be the same

A perfect retirement would have been a big remote on a Friday but I doubt he is strong enough for that type of thing now. I hope he make it to 1/5 to give a few reminisces with the help of a heavily produced show. This is Tannehill's time to shine and it sounds like Terry needs it.

That 9/11 show really shook Terry up. He talks about it frequently.

I was out of town and didn't hear any of it.

Within one month, Rozner supporters would realize he has a tired and repetitive act. His jokes wear thin. His opinions are stale and few. He is preachy and drapes it with self deprecation to cloak arrogance. He would be absolutely insufferable during Bears season.

I agree with you and I think Rosenbloom getting a full time gig is a perfect analogy.

Just read Terry's rambling good-bye. You guys are free to your opinion of course, but I think there was a reason he got released from a part-time gig at the Daily Herald.

Because newspapers are dying. They do not care about quality. Care only about audience you can bring in.

you know, i don't remember the score's 9/11 coverage being anything special. hell, didn't they tap out within an hour or two and it was national news radio (well?) before noon?

and to terry's thing about all americans being shook after 9/11 ,that's BS too. only thing i was "shook" about was 1) remembering how i could see the sears tower right outside of the window of my go-to UIC computer lab and thinking "aww hell no" to going down to the city that day, not even cuz "OH NO I'M GONNA DIE WHEN THEY HIT THE SEARS TOWER" just because of jumpy "vigilant" people and [speaking of] 2) having des plaines PD fucking pull guns to me and my friend's head because some little old lady saw us waiting outsode of colleen's house while she was doing that "i have to get ready / i'll be out in a minute" 10-15min thing, and see my friend had a duffle bag with a disassembled paintball gun and colleen's little old lady neighbor thought the terrorists were coming for her so she called 9-11 that suspicious people were sitting in a honda outside her neighbor's house "brandishing a weapon" so going from 0 to having a gun 2" from my temple = i was "shook" for a second there cuz that would be the first of three times i had a gun to my head like that.

TLDR = i don't remember the score having some big "important" 9/11 show like howard stern did or something, but then again once you got an idea of what was happening it's not like you were like "gee i wonder what dan and terry think"

After having listened to the announcement and reading the comments about it. Fuck you assholes that say goodbye. It sounds like one of the the funniest guys from the station is dying. The station that you once were entertained by. I'll admit haven't listened religiously in years, but to run the man out because he was mean to you the one time you called in, suck a dick. Better yet I have a pacifier for you. Terry is the nicest guy you'll ever meet and will talk to you about any sport that you brought up, just because a mouth breather brought up starting Caleb Hanie and got laughed at, doesn't make Boers a bad guy.

Not that I think he drummed up any emotions to get sympathy, he certainly sounded genuine in his announcement; but, I agree with this sentiment. i think i liked boers better than some of the people on this board, and met him once kindly.

that said, they had many laughs at others' misfortunes and deaths and never apologized for their thoughts.

That isn't really surprising though. It is the essence of B&B or maybe just entertainment radio in general. We will piss on you, we want to know every dirty detail and we want it immediately. Ask the tough questions. Then when in a jam, cry. Cynical yes but true. I want to believe Terry as I listened so long but you never know. BTW, not a chance in the world they were renewing him on Jan 5th.

* He actually is the signing Urlacher to a goodbye contract he would have despised.

Ouch ripping the scab off. From what I remember no one there or here likes you. Everyone seems to think you are the friend of someone else, that's why people pay attention to you.

That is a big yes. At the time, I was a younger 20 something with a job where I could get away with showing up at 9:50 for the start of the day. I remember annoyingly getting some phone calls that morning that I ignored, and then the alarm clock went on to the Score like most mornings, but it was some network news which I found very, very odd. Well, eventually I went to the TV and saw what was going on but it was confusing first waking up.
