Did I miss someone saying Matt Millen should be made AD/Coach as part of the punishment?

Now if they only added tv(& interweb) restrictions (like in the old days) it would be a complete, giant & deserved F U.

How long before the new head coach formally asks to be let out of his contract?

Won't someone think of the marching band and cheerleaders?

The entire state of Michigan approves this post.

ESPN is showing some sorority girls gasping with tears in their eyes as the announcement was made. :|

Literally went like this:

TV voice: "Penn St. will be ineligible for bowl games and postseason play for the next 4 years"
Girls: Gasp!! What? Oh no!!! (hand covers mouth)

I understand that. I don't think it's a large enough factor to sway my opinion.

Not to mention I have tickets for the Illini-PSU game on 9/29.

I'm glad to have been wrong earlier on this particular incident.

This was one of those times I needed AM1000 to explain it to me so that I understood what was being meted out for punishment.

Edit: No, I was right the first time .... the punishment is horseshit as I surmised originally .... absolutely more bark than BITE.

You are what is wrong with the sports world. Now, spending multiple days at Bears training camp is perfectly acceptable.

In Big 10 terms, Penn State football just became Indiana Football.

Yet still better than MAC teams.

Debatable. Last year IU lost to Ball State and North Texas (Sun Belt).

Fine. I was wrong in thinking the NCAA president had a spine.

If they were gonna do what they did, it should have been in addition to a one year death penalty.

Some may say I lost, but I think everybody lost in this decision. Most importantly the victims of Sandusky and all child rape survivors. Greed won.

I like that the 60 million goes to child abuse centers. But that should have been more. If they make 60 million a year, they should have had to donate 60 million for 4 years. Every year that they are on probation. They shouldn't be able to keep a dime of the football profits.

On their own, Penn State should agree to donate money every year to this cause. Will they? No.

Yes. Because no football next year makes people un-raped.

All the people involved are going to be either dead or in jail. It's a huge punishment on the football team.

Now we have to listen to Michigan fans honk about how it is they who have the most honorable football program in all the fair Big Ten. Hey, NCAA, so much for not punishing innocent civilians!

I heard somebody on the Scott Van Pelt Show say that PSU will now have NIU-level talent with Delaware-type depth.

So, with that talent level, they should win the B10 easy.

Has the guy who has said NU level talent kept in touch with college football since 1995? While they haven't competed for a national title Northwestern has been consistently competitive to good since then.

I have a question isn't it pretty late for a recruit to switch schools? Aren't most scholarships already taken up for this season?

If they transfer, they don't count against the school's scholarships. So schools can have more than 85 scholarships.

If they're not going to give them the death penalty they should take away all scholarship athletes.

Yeah. There is no such thing as the Scott Van Pelt Show.

Bigfan just didn't want a named rap section. Attracts the wrong crowd.

No rap section and certainly no well lit basket ball courts.
