David Haugh should die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.

Great STD today. Yup.

Less is more with Rongey. I really like him but he must have ADD. He's all over the place and then locks on a subject and won't let it go.

And hey, at least the guy watches college football.

Goff can work in a three man booth. Not sold on him in a two man team.

And that's really the rub. No one is paying for a 3 man booth nowadays

As a non hater, Goff is the worst possible choice if you go with a three person booth. He requires a lot of mic time.

Oddly enough, Rongey is quite entertaining when he is paired with Bernstein, who usually brings out the worst in his partners.

When solo or paired with anyone else, Rongey is unlistenable.

It sounds easy but the Score couldn't get that time slot right for at least its first decade. Murph finally solidified the position and Mulli+ has kept it steady.

I'll admit that I didn't initially think Mully and Hanley would be a success in mornings. I thought the 10-noon show they did was solid enough but that morning drive bigger personalities. I was wrong, as I often am, and they got way better ratings than B&B ever would have in that daypart.

Isn't he at KMOX? That's a dream job for a St. Louis radio kid, even if they have the Audacy stink too and are far from what they used to be.

Goff is the absolute worst choice. He offers nothing, but nervous laughing and interrupting. He can’t interview. Has no real knowledge of sports except NBA. He will bring ratings and revenue down. He is a DEI hire, but the Score has that covered already. Although, I am guessing he would be very cheap as he has no leverage. Maybe they could hire him for evenings or overnights when nobody is really listening.

His first sentence on the air will be complaining about the people who complained about him.

SPIEGEL: We'd like to welcome back our old friend, and yours, Jason Goff to the Score airwaves. How's it goin', Jason.

GOFF: AH HAH COME DEY BROT BACK DAT JASON GOFF GUY HE TALKS ABOUT BESKETBALL TOO MUCH AN HE'S BLACK nah I'm doin good, I feel great, never felt better

Were there actually "normie" sports media consumers complaining that Goff talks too much basketball for a major market with a bad basketball team? I thought maybe it was more of us just being really into parsing/critiquing sports talk.

And to counter what someone else said: I don't think he just knows about basketball, in fact I think Goff has a lot of the casual multi-sport rolling knowledge that a guy like Parkins has, which is the foundation of a good sports media pundit. I distinctly remember in the first few days of Bernstein & Goff, Jason tried to start talking about college football and was rattling off the names of top players at different schools, and in reply Dan just threw to a break and never spoke of it again.

Leila is in at least once a week, probably more like 2x a week and is in whenever Bernstein/Holmes is out so she ends up being probably more than a part-time host in the mid-day show.

Goff though is hard to listen to in a 2 man booth. He dominates the conversation. Yes, in theory, hearing less of him sounds good, but I don't think he's good at being part of a conversation rather than being the conversation by talking/laughing over someone.

I would say most normie criticism of Goff on Twitter is much, much less nuanced. However, Goff reads everything negative that everyone says about him, so it'd be easy to synthesize it all.

I believe the Score lineup should be Jarrett Payton and Marshall Harris in the morning. Anthony Herron and Jason Goff middays. Jonathon Hood and Kendall Gill in the afternoons. Laurence Holmes in evening. Bernstein and Spiegel over nights. Mully and Haugh on weekends in between gambling shows. There you go. I fixed everything.

Heard grote taking a trip down memory lane today about parkins stories. This sad sappy stuff reminded me why I permanently pftb on this station years ago.

late at night i've flipped the score on with the CBS national programming. I really like it a lot better. They are not talking about themselves endlessly, can handle callers like an adult and seem to have a pretty good sense of several sports. I think one of them is a guy that used to be in Milwaukee? Winkler?

Perhaps I'm confusing him with Fonzie....anyway they make it seem like its not that difficult...which, it isn't

they work because the share some common interests and a sense of humor but they don't ape each other and the legitimately crack each other up.

Kinda like Dan and Terry. It makes so much sense it'll never happen.

You really are a dumbass. Like 5 people listen to that garbage, and 4 are related to whoever is hosting. Enjoy your snowflake radio.

The Mike North Morning show was the last time they tried doing anything that had the slightest resemblance of a creative thought (good or bad, agree or disagree). It backfired horribly.

Since then....both 670 and AM1000 have been or remained as generic and vanilla as possible. Mully & Hanley or Mully && Haugh have served that mandate perfectly. Horrible....but they do not care. Play if safe...morning drive wants mindless sheep as they drone their way to work.

I've been wrong more than I've been right, but Mully + (insert guest) would have failed in afternoon drive, but they've been perfect for their desire to have a safe morning show. Barf.

Mulli is the worst host on The Score, and I think that would be exposed the later in the day you move him. This is just my personal preference, but you don't want someone who is "in your face" during the morning drive. I don't want to be called a racist until at least 10:00 a.m.

Different business but if I have one shift that is working well I don't mess with that one in an effort to fix another shift. More than likely you just end up with two shifts with problems.

Depends on what you mean by worst. If you mean you judge by ability to interview guests, speaking in a clear and coherent manner, engage in brevity when appropriate, avoid loquaciousness, be able to speak intelligently on a wide variety of subjects whilst improvising if conversations don't go as hoped for and being generally entertaining and funny, then yeah he's the worst. But if you mean get ratings from meatheads who didn't see then end of the game last night because their wives wanted to watch dancing with the stars then you're right, he's wrong.

Blows my mind. There's an completely empty vessel sitting 8 feet from Mulligan....but HE'S the worst? I'd rather have Haugh doing shadow puppets with his dick than what he actually does, which is basically, "Wow, how about sports? Crazy, huh?"

Mulli is trash, but Haugh should be drawn, quartered, and forced to listen to recordings of himself.
