I'm assuming this is the All-Bum team and I'm offended that A.J. Guyton and Eddie Robinson aren't listed.

I thought about it. I had to leave off Bryant Reeves too, but it was close.

Something funny about how the Sandusky trial thing is going down. The court is serious about not allowing a verdict to be leaked until the entirety of the counts have been read. Not a bad plan I guess, but in the process they realize the reporters are gonna kill someone when they exit the court room. Pretty funny.

I find your lack of Kurt Rambis incredibly offensive.

Does that mean they are near a verdict?

Not certain. The reporter twitterers are hopeful, but that's about it.

I don't know what the delay is on the stream. I hope my little twitter tidbits are ahead of Berns or I look more stoopider than I already do for following this thing.

I don't think so. If this was going to be a not quilty verdict, I would think it would come after many hours of deliberations. This case gives me a feeling that the jury left the court room, and had everything wrapped in about 15 minutes, and then just decided to get a bunch of free meals ordered.

I'm thinking that the only reason for the deliberation is on which specific counts to find him guilty or not. Due diligence and all that.

There are 48 counts. It takes time. He will almost certainly be guilty of some of them and not guilty of others.

Oof. That's not the kind of straight shooting I want to hear from my attorney in a press conference. In private, sure.

Apparently he was talking with a couple reporters...kind of chewing the fat, and it turned into a mini press conference. Yeah, that's not a real vote of confidence.

He didn't seriously say that.

edit: ah, well in that context I guess, but still.

It's not like they actually made a defense. Didn't they pretty much just call character witnesses saying that Sandusky was a good guy?

That and undermining the victims integrity, claiming they stepped forward for fame and money. A brilliant strategy.

Twitter is just bizarre. This guy has been spending a lot of time at the DQ.

Ben Jones ‏@Ben_Jones88
- Amendola had been giving a sort of random press conference in courthouse. Judge asked to see him.

Their strongest defense by far is that the prosecution lacks a whole bunch of specifics in some cases. Then it becomes a question of integrity of witnesses which, while potentially icky, is kind of important. Even if Sandusky is a skeeze, which he almost certainly is, that doesn't mean you can just assume everyone else is telling the truth.
