Hey, I'm just glad people enjoy it. Like I said, when I first started archiving this stuff, I really didn't know what I was going to do with it. I just knew that there were some great comedy/radio moments that I didn't want to forget about.

Check out a comment I got on this one:

Broadwaymungo wrote:
You know, this is amusing and all, but why are we beating a dead horse over Palin? The election is over. The 2008 election, the 2012 election. Obama won twice, and Palin did not even run in 2012. You and these two got what you and they wanted. So I ask you, what is the point of posting this? Hatred? Anger? It's over. Your guy won. Let it go.

Yikes...

Anybody who knows me knows that I have no political leanings. My response was this:

You have no idea what my political affiliation is, first of all. Second of all, I posted it because it's funny. Let's not make this a political thing. The clip is less about Palin and more about Ditka. I have no hatred for Sarah Palin, or anybody else. Thanks for listening.

What year did Ann call into the show? I'm thinking somewhere around 2003, I also think the show may have been at its peak at that time.

Caller Ann was 12/31/03. I think Steve Silverman was subbing for Terry.

Kid, do you believe in Dan's assessment of Koby vs MJ? I know you're not MJ's #1 fan, so I will appreciate your opinion.

I've been listening to these all night, just letting the next one come up. I didn't need to finish my work anyway. Jerk.

I get what Berns was saying, but I don't definitively agree with it. I think Bernstein may have forgotten a lot about Jordan's pre-baseball athleticism because it was so long ago, but I don't agree that Kobe is as easily far and away more skilled than Jordan. If anything, it's very equal.

I was kind of confused when Dan said he was sure that Kobe was a better shooter and dribbler. I like Kobe's basketball skills a lot, but it's hard to say that hands-down Kobe was better at the above.

Their skill level was just about equal with Jordan getting the edge in athleticism. 84-93 Jordan is easily superior to Kobe athletically, I think most people who have followed both players can agree to this.

I don't understand the ball handling argument whatsoever. Jordan was a superb ball handler, especially at his peak in the early 90's. He wasn't overly flashy but his crossover was lightning fast. It's silly to say either one of them was a better ball handler than the other.

Michael Jordan's 1986/1987 and 1987/1988 seasons were the two greatest individual seasons by any player in the history of the NBA. Don't give me Wilt's 50/20 season or when Oscar averaged a triple double. They don't count cuz that was a time when a lot of small whites were in the league.

Seriously, look at his numbers in those two seasons. Averaged 37 in 86/87. But 87/88 might have been his best. He averaged 35 while shooting 53% from the field. Think about that. That many shots with that field goal percentage for a 2 guard. That's sick. Only Big men shoot over 50%. Jordan did it in 5 seasons during his prime. Kobe has never shot 50% in any season. Look at his steals as well. He won defensive player of the year in that 87/88 season as well.

Jordan didn't miss or even not start a single game in his final three seasons? Christ, no wonder everyone is mad at Popovich.

I think he was even better in the 89' season. His game was incredibly polished during that season and he did a terrific job at running the point for part of the season. I still think it was a crime that Magic won the MVP over him that year.
