The fact that Jim O'Donnell's work is stored anywhere other than a geocities blog is astounding....LET ALONE behind a paywall? lolololol Yike, man, that's some awful stuff.

As far as Bernstein's next move? I'm smelling Webio 2.0 - David Hernandez has to be out and bout by now, yes?

I have a much higher tolerance for Dim O'Braincell than most, but he's all over the place in this one. He's halfway to one of those old Larry King columns that would just be like "for my money, there's never been a higher achievement in American cinema than The First Wives Club. A fine, fine film."

I should read what Jeff Agrest wrote about all this, after I ctrl-F it for "Goff."

O'Donnell doesn't even mention Boers at all going over the history of the Score and Bernstein. Now THAT'S a hatred that will never die.

I always wondered whatever happened to Jill Carlson, apparently she's a yoga instructor now.

None of the columnists dare mention the intense joy Bernstein's firing has brought to Chicago sports fans.

Hello friends.

Haven’t listened to the station, heck followed sports in any serious way in over 10 years. When I heard the news about Bernstein I thought he got into it with one of you guys here.

Good to see you bozos still alive, listening, posting… sincerely.

Hello there, old-timer. Good to see you, too. Regular Reader and Sinicalypse have since died, though.

Didn't stoneroses and cubbiegirlshamus too and many others possibly that we aren't sure of? Dick Jauron as well -- this wasn't his board, but he was on this board.

cubbiegirlshamus/Steph, we know for certain; stoneroses and jimmypasta it's just sort of assumed.

O'Donnell "articles" always comes off like he's bitter he never got to host (to my knowledge) on the station

Marshall and Leila are making a point to emphasize the importance of the fans/listeners to the station as they address Bernstein being fired.

Surely there are lawers involved.

Yeah, and I didn't buy a word of it. Just schmaltzy flattery to misdirect from the fact that they're two jamokes from out of town in way over their heads.

So ? He didn’t do anything illegal. What could possibly prevent the hosts from discussing what he did to get fired other than a “ we don’t want you guys talking about it “ edict from Mitch ?

They are likely trying to get a contract for this gig now, so.

Because Bernstein has a very good case if this was a "for cause" firing given the fact that Audacy did massive layoffs at almost the exact same time.

lol you proofread the "lawers" meme.

Why wouldn't there be? Dan got fired for threatening someone on the internet the same week that his employer underwent massive layoffs. You're telling me that nowhere in any of this has anyone involved called an attorney?

The only thing less interesting than hearing Marshall and Laila talk about sports would be Marshall and Leila talking about Dan.

Have any of the stories written gone into detail about his nosedive into far left politics?

It's a strange dynamic.

On Friday's afternoon show, Spiegel said the same, but then went on to say what a wonderful host Dan is and how he'll be missed, etc.

Without addressing the actual issue, there's a lot missing information they are not saying that may impact how the amount of praise Dan was getting.

Also interesting that Dave Wannstedt did not appear to be a fan of Dan.

They were quick to fill in for Dan on Friday, lecturing the audience on why DEI is mis-understood (in relation to Jackie Robinson) and that you should read a book if you don't understand it.

A few days after Leila advocated for non-binary officials to help bring a different perspective to NBA officials.

Their DEI and gender positions are not shared by most people, but the way they lecture others....

This surprises no one if for no other reason than Ditka was a fellow Pitt idol to Wannstedt. Moreover Bernsie acted like he knew more than he did with jargon. Dave probably dislikes bullshitters.

NBA officiating needs the clarity and decisiveness that you can only get from It's Pat.

He was asked about it by Spiegel and didn't want to comment. Spiegel apologized for the question. I think he asked it because he thought they got along and was going to say nice things.

The fact that the charity made the first move and fired him before Audacy will make it difficult for Bernstein's case.
