The irony of what Dan was saying is he's sitting next to an older Cubs fan, Hub, who said a couple of years ago that he was "Against Theo's plan". Hub doesn't bring that up anymore. Hub is also the idiot that had season tickets for decades and didn't renew them last year.

Dan just used the fans as a way to suck off the really smart people in the administration again. Its very easy to see what he thinks. Just listen to him.

Hub is a baseball genius. Today he was lamenting the Cubs not being able to get to Kenley Jansen. "I know its a cutter. I JUST DON'T SEE IT MOVE VERY MUCH!"

Yes Hub a cutter doesn't move very much. It just darts at the last second making it very difficult to hit. Plus Jansen throws his 98 mph. I guess its not surprising considering he doesn't think that Chapman is all that good either; but come on, its obvious why both those guys are great. Hub just doesn't "see it."

Amusingly, Dan backed him up, saying that he's seen Jansen before and he didn't remember him being this good. Per Fangraphs , in 7 season with the Dodgers:
