I don't think they're boring, they're just non-controversial but otherwise you're right; likeable and relatable.

When I say boring I mean it's a straight forward show and you know what you are getting each day.

It's not a bad thing.

I think the station overcorrected here: you can keep Dan in drivetime but make him stop being self-indulgent, or you can let him do the show he wants to do for himself but bust him down to middays. They didn't need to do both.
