Interesting analogy (sorry for word choice) comparing Kent State massacre and how the school is remembered to potentially how PSU will forever be remembered. Think I'll wait and see on that point.

Maybe a West Virginia shooting type thing as that was a heinous act. Kent State was a Vietnam protest gone bad. Kent State took on a different meaning for protesters.

Of course PSU is gonna be paying for this for a generation... Of course these acts and cover up were deplorable... Guess what its not U of I, NW or even Notre Dame. Ratchet it down! Please I implore you.

Kent State yielded a great song from Neil Young. Penn State gave us that creepy tribute song.

As I said yesterday, this Penn State/Jerry Sandusky story deserves to be told and has many layers attached. However, other than the fact Penn State football is involved, this is more of a crime/hard news story than it is a sports story.

While Bernsy said before yesterday's testimony that this show plans to cover the Sandusky Trial like a blanket, there will come a time where even I will get sick & tired of this story and might have to PTFB. When the verdict is eventually announced, it'll be hard to escape no matter what you're listening.

Shark, you will not be PTFB'ing B&B. You live for this. It is the same as your love/hate for the Red Alert. I think you daydream of sitting in Uncle Terry's lap in Mokena, while Gary from Evanston calls in with Bonanza references- a Shark heaven!

Sweet Jesus, still playing Little Lawyer Boy. Can they do good radio anymore? Maybe once a week for a segment or two?

Thump your chests some more and pound the table to dust, boys.

I've heard enough! When they talk about something other than creepy Jerry Sandusky, I'll come back. ENOUGH! SHARK has spoken!

Your "PTFB" lasted a whopping 14 minutes. Might wanna come back in July. Trial is set to last three weeks.

Overheard at the Sandusky trial

Victim #1 to Sandusky- is that a SHARK in your pants or are you just thinking about our encounter in the Penn State showers?

I know. I tuned in again and some caller is breaking down family psychology concerning Sandusky and what the fuck.

I'm done.

Someone tell me when it's safe to dive back in.

I think there's an appropriate soundbite for that...

It's pretty easy to dismiss all of the Sandusky stuff as it has been a major part of the show for the last 7 or 8 months. There have been some good reasons for the fellers to continually cover the topic. Lavar Arrington initially had strong opinions in defense of PSU, coaches and so forth. He recently changed his tune. I get why B&B are spending so much time on this subject. These 8-10 kids aren't the only victims, and it isn't just a PSU/college football issue. If enough effort is spent hammering this subject home hopefully people pay a little more attention to what is going on around them and are willing to do something about it.

I am so tired of hearing B&B rail on the entire state of PA about this deal. That is so stupid. Sandusky and everyone else involved in this deserve everything they get and more. But the people of PA do not have a part in this. Stop trashing an entire state

I think what really bothered me was how Penn State University responded (or didn't necessarily respond) in a timely manner when the story initially made news last fall. Also, prior to his own death, Joe Paterno had the absolute nerve to announce his retirement as head football coach at the end of last season instead of immediately as the university board did with 2 games to go in their season. Someone was asleep at the wheel and didn't do enough to stop creeps like Jerry Sandusky from continuing his reign of terror among young boys.

That being said, while Penn State University deserves a lot of blame, not everyone in Pennsylvania should be trashed or napalmed as Bernsy has suggested.

"Some good reasons", fine, but this is madness. And no, I don't think them doing horrible radio shows, telling me how much every person in Pennsylvania loves and supports child rape, how much they are glad Paterno is dead, how much they hate Sandusky and want him tortured (wow, what a cutting edge thing to say!) and all of the other shit they beat to death is going to get anyone to stop this from happening. Get real.

Another guy that's felt the "B & B" wrath and defended his university during this tough time is former Steeler Franco Harris.

I wouldn't disagree at all, but then it wouldn't be B&B. It's kind of a package deal.

SomeGuy...question:

This just for my own curiosity but what is your bottom line on the Sandusky/Paterno deal? And let's eliminate B&B from the equation. How do YOU feel about the case?
