C'mon Doc...there were more than a few people who questioned whether Manning still had it (and they couldn't wait to say so after that shitshow down in Atlanta at the beginning of the year)...

Agreed, there was some question. But, it's still Peyton Manning and even if he was limited, he was still a better option than almost anything realistically available to them.

It wasn't like they were trying to resurrect the career of Eric Zeier or replace Joe Montana in his prime. There were numerous reasons why it made all kinds of sense for Denver to bring Manning in.

For those that are wondering, there's a reason why Thom Brennaman & "B & B" Thursday regular Brian Billick are calling one of the NFC Divisional Playoff games next weekend, and this might explain it:

I'm excited for Dan to explain how having a coach who's not a cipher gets you closer to a championship.

Who would have thought that a guy named Jock-Itch Mitch hadn't read Shakespeare's Othello?

So Emery has two candidates he likes, but is open to being surprised by a candidate.

Doug Gottlieb just characterized the West Coast Offense as "a series of short, concise passes."

Oh boy, now we're transitioning from a discussion about how great LeBron is to a discussion about how interesting LeBron is.

Wow, there goes bernstein putting Mike Martz in blackface and renaming him "Khalid". I think he nearly said "Leroy" but he realized that would have been too over the top.

I'm just trying to figure out why in the world of B&b the fact that there are few white running backs means that whites are bad at running the football but the fact that there are few black offensive coordinators doesn't mean blacks are bad at coordinating offenses.

We need Beardown on the case.

The Lebron love is getting out of control. Any time he says something or does something, these 2 are all over it. I can't wait for the Heat to piss on themselves in the playoffs.

I enjoyed Bernsie saying that his guy said Phil really likes 2 candidates, but open to others. I'm sure on Monday, he will tell us how his guy knew Chip Kelly was going to the Browns. This is going to end up being a really bad hire, but that's expected with the Browns.

I usually don't feel things like this in sports and rarely say them but B&B have made me do it. I would love for nothing more than to see LeBron and Wade knock knees on a play and put themselves out for the year with ACL tears.

Idk, the Heat are just aggravating me with all the hype. Watched most of the game last night. I usually don't so I am not anywhere near an expert. A couple things stuck right out. James running the hell over Heinrich and the announcers actually said that should have been an offensive foul but he is James. That surprised me. Also James acting like a baby around the 4th qtr and the ref heard on the mic saying "LeBron thats it settle down". Another player would have been teed up for sure. Even Durant got booted the other night.

I am a meatball I guess? I would like to see James pull some of this crap on Karl Malone.
