Drinky is just not funny. Not funny in the slightest bit but he thinks he is. Did anyone thing his saying "and members of..." after everything Dan said at the end of the show was funny? No, it's annoying, and example A of why he doesn't get to host more.

Heard that. That was bad. Drinky thought it was hilarious like he often thinks of his comedy attempts. Bernstein rolling his eyes at him doesn't even stop him.

Like I've said, drinky is the kid trying to annoy Dad when he's around Berntein. Sometimes I feel bad for him cuz he's not bright enough to know that he's making a fool of himself.

He's in a "clown" or "ass hat" mode 24/7 it seems. It's quite something.

Didn't Matt do some off-the-charts slut-shaming during the Hawks parade? something like "those girls are gonna get knocked up and not know who the dad is"? I know sports talk radio is going to have a certain inherent level of misogyny, but that's the kind of thing, if he said it, that should get a person pulled aside and given a stern "dude, what the fuck."

I think McAvoy pretty much sums up drinky's attempt at being a professional broadcaster. He just says stuff thinking he's cute and funny and Bernstein's listeners have to suffer it. Hell, Bernstein has to suffer it for the love of God.

I think you're giving drinky too much credit to explain this one away. His waters don't run deep. It was most likely just an ass hat comment made by an ass hat. The thought probably just popped into his mind so he spoke it. I think it's really that simple with him. Must be. No other way to explain a lot of the dumb things he says.
