you know, now that i stop and think about it [cue the "MASTER OF THE OBVIOUS!" theme song] this is a pretty shrewd move by michael sam..... he's a mid-round prospect who'd definitely get drafted, but now of his ostentatious "special snowflake" status he's willing to bet that some teams will fight with each other to draft him earlier than normal because of the PR++++ that you'd get from being the "brave" / "courageous" team that goes out of its way to stand up and draft the first avowedly homosexual All-American college football athlete, which would go and make this move by Michael Sam a real dick move (no pun intended).
You know..... you lot are getting a look into the ordo ab chao that is my head, cuz now that I stop and think about it I think this "HELLO WORLD I AM A GAY" thing is a ploy to try and make more $$$, much like John Amache (or however you spell it) was at the end of his NBA road and by coming out as gay he was hoping to get a novelty/niche contract or some sort of a cushy media gig, because when you've got a guy who's brave enough to admit that he has a relatively-eccentric taste in pursuing orgasms, well shit you can just picture the veritable flaming delorean tracks being created by all of the league execs / GMs / local GarPaxes all rushing to go out and procure the services of the first formally-gay NBA player since Dennis "The Navy" Rodman --- you know, the Navy being the place that has given us the saying "The Navy: Where No Hole is the Wrong Hole" (TM)(C)(R)(etc)
and now my weird internet stream commercial on tunein is playing tone loc's wild thing for me. i think my life is complete (woah woah woah) </paulaabdul>
But yeah.... wtf man. Why do we gotta stand up and applaud a couple'a gays (hey it's not a typo for once!) who decided to take advantage of us and our heavensent/hellbent desire to be PC-compatible in the 21st century and use whatever remaining taboo that homoseuxality has as a means to cynically go out and get more $$$? That's a heaping helping of hooey, to use a Boersism, and uhhhhh my name is sinicalypse and I do NOT approve of that tactic. Do it for real reasons.... let it come as naturally as a cock in the ass is..... but don't do it just because you're at a crossroads and you're an otherwise unremarkable guy and you think that claiming your divine right to exalted special snowflake status is gonna make you more $$$ --- wtf is John Amache (sp?) doing nowadays anyways? It didn't ostensibly work out as well as he hoped, now did it?
