Being disappointed in Spiegs indicates that you actually believe that he would hold Dan's feet to the fire. He's never been able to be any more than a milquetoast host who has no problem demeaning a subordinate but can't do any heavy lifting (no pun intended) when it comes to other hosts. There hasn't been anyone there in some time willing to actively engage Bernstein and those who might (Mully perhaps, Rozner, or Rosenbloom) are rarely on or have no transition. The fact he (Dan) is back pedaling will just show (imo) what we all know....whatever convictions he appears to hold are part of a crafted personality or he's just a narcissistic north shore trust fund kid who only worked hard in life when he worked in Rockford.

I listened to the first 45 min or so. And I texted in challenging Dan - no response as usual.

I've got no problem with it.

I just find it funny that when one of their fellow pro athletes gets caught on video knocking out his wife, nobody in the NFL or NBA wore a "Don't hit women" t-shirt.

Since Bernstein made news for being a racist, I wonder if one of the Bulls beat reporters will ask Rose about Bernstein's dehumanizing comments about him. It's not just these latest comments about the t-shirt. He's been doing this to Rose for a couple of years now.

It's a very weird and uncomfortable commercial. Cuz they're all speaking in an aggressive, threatening and a mean tone. With angry looks on their faces. It's just not the right way to get the message of non violence to women across.

He's not that tough when he can't control the mic/message.

You have to take it in and place it with his overarching beliefs on blacks, black athletes and where they fit in society today.

It wasn't so bad, Spiegel actually said his point about the shirt being all that was required. Dan didn't so much double-down by saying Derrick was outright dumb as he was easily manipulated, which at least isn't as inflammatory if still pretty insulting given how simple this 'message' is. Now, Berns saying that Derrick may not be 'real' on this issue was pretty bad and went unchallenged.
