The White Sox should just give up because even if they win it doesn't matter. Luckily, Dan and Terry don't have to worry about the White Sox anymore.

Past the point of hate listening anymore. These two are past insufferable.

I mean this seriously...this is where the end begins for Dan. He has way too much investment in the Cubs and it's going to be a death march if they don't get to the WS in the next couple years...this will undo him.

That would be a good name for a mult.

The Score, despite the constant fun they poke at them on air, have an awesome sales staff. They can sell anything. They will make money.

Excellent question Walt.

The resurgence of the Cubs will help the Score in ways that GN was not helped their last three years with the team. Having said that, there is no guarantee that money will be made but this past season makes it look far more likely.

i'm guessing CBS didnt pay nearly as much as WGN did. there seems to be this thing where the cubs are taking less $$$ on the backs of 2009-2014 being shit, let alone the slow and gradual death of radio listenership in the smartphone era.

The real winner here is Terry Boers. All those day games. Man, it a lazeass' dream come true. He won't even have to mosey into the room with the ISDN half the time next summer.

The loser is anyone who listens to sports talk radio, as all those day games mean we're effectively down to 1 station a large portion of the time.

Terry will be retired by the time the Cubs get underway.

With the Score's current line-up I'm already down to 1 station after 9am so it makes little difference for me. I doubt I'm alone.

Terry's not retired till he's retired. I think he may decide to come back at the last moment.

I am with the Councilman on this. It is known I have been trying to break my score addiction even though I dislike so much. If the predictions of it going as strong WCUB as thought it will be easier to go MVP.

It's not great radio but I don't find WMVP to be repellent the way 670 is. Occasionally I find myself reflexively switching between stations during commercials and even the update people drive me away from the Score. For me it really comes down to the score thinking their voices are so important. Neither station has anything new or intelligent to say about sports but the Score is the only one who thinks they do.

When I read this article and came across "... Moral voices can become sanctimonious bullies." I immediately thought of Bernsie, Baffoe, Rudy, etc all.

I almost never turn to MVP. Either its news/Stern/politics or national sports. I find almost all of the on air people @1000 dull &/or irritating.

How many day games do the Cubs even play anymore? I know they have quite a few evening games now on Monday and Tuesday's, but play Friday home games. I'm not sure about Wednesday and Thursday's but I know Thursday's are travel days (day games) often for teams.

I would thoroughly endorse the Cubs to play all day games if it means Bernstain needs to go find a real job.

I believe they are limited to 35 night games out of 81 home games.

Dull definitely, but no one there actively annoys me. Its just inoffensive enough to serve as background noise on my lunch. I can't get through even 30 seconds of the Score anymore.
