Is that right?

When are you planning to mobilize your minions to go after the people that don't know Ryan Sandberg like that, good portnoy?

The good doc in here after 10:00 PM?

Might have to dust off the drinking thread that doc, Spaulding, RR, and I used to haunt every weekend for a few years.

Not criticizing. Just curious.

their last remote was...Thursday

BERNSTEIN and Marshall Harris* were broadcasting from the Prudential Plaza park/lobby.

I only listened to a few segments (including both transitions) and there was no mention of Stoolies taking up the banner. There was no mention of Barstool at all.

It's almost like this entirely exists on Twitter and Barstool's many unstructured content programs, and their employer (wait, no, surely a close personal friend to Nice Guy Eddie) will move on to some other grievance soon.

Bernstein wins again.

The only question is if Barstool Eddie ever gets back on the air at The Score. I think Bernstein will be gracious enough to let him on again as long as his bosses ask him for permission.

if ANY Barstool "personality" is back on the Score.

If Bernstein's contention is that the whole brand is toxic due to their shithead owner, they only affirmed that this week.

But maybe it was so weak of an effort by the Stoolies that The Score didn't notice a difference. Perhaps if Eddie drops Barstool from his stage name he'll get another shot.

There is no upside in leaving Barstool for local radio, especially at an Audacy station that could be shut down or dump local programming at any time.

I'll bet if Goff was given a choice between Bulls work on the new station or 670, he picks Bulls for the relative job security.

You'll know the Score is in trouble when LoHo starts taking his name out of consideration for every job in town.

So why did Barstool Eddie choose to be a fill-in host which was at least some preliminary version of tryouts to be a full-time host? Parkins just used The Score to likely become a bigger name in sports media than any person at Barstool.

You think Danny Parkins is a bigger name in sports media than Big Cat, PFT Commenter, or Dave Portnoy?

He isn't today. If things work out at FS1 he will be. Pretty much anyone with a name on the show on FS1 is a bigger name than PFT Commenter and Big Cat though. Barstool has a very loyal fan base but they aren't exactly Stephen A Smith either.

I also don't know if Portnoy really counts. He's the guy who owns Barstool and eats on bite of pizza. I guess you could say he is "more famous" than many on FS1 but it's not for his sports media work.

He is friends with Shane and thought it would be a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Do you really think Parkins is bigger than Portnoy or Big Cat? Bigger than Whit or Biz?

Big Cat has only had the #1 sports podcast for 8 years running.

Nor is he bigger than Biz and Whit, who got the biggest name in hockey coaching fired

If things work out well at FS1 he'll be bigger than Big Cat. Of course he won't be as big to people who listen to Barstool every day.

Portnoy is known more for simply owning Barstool and eating a bite of pizza than he is as a true member of the sports media. There is a reason that Pat McAfee is bigger than anyone at Barstool and it has to do with going to a major sports network.

I have no idea who White or Biz even are.

Barstool guys are huge but not in the way your thinking. I think it has to do with all the food reviews they do. That 670 is in conflict with the sewer rats at barstool just justifies my decision to PFTB a while ago.

I don't do Pardon My Take but I recognize it as a phenomenon. I have a tough time seeing how a basic cable morning show on which Parkins is the third mic is going to vault him past Pardon My Take. But I don't know, maybe lots of people have just been waiting for a guy from Syracuse to tell them that good quarterbacks are good, and if Craig Carton lets him get a word in, the sky's the limit.

It’s not and it’s plausibly insane to think otherwise.

Podcast numbers are often overrated. By the same logic, Big Cat is bigger than Pat McAfee since his podcast gets more downloads. The second biggest sports podcast in the world seems to be run by three guys that have never been mentioned on this site once.

If things go well then Parkins will be bigger than them just like other guys at FS1 were bigger than them.

I don't even see how this is controversial. The average sports fan is going to know more about the top 5 or 10 guys at FS1 and ESPN. People who love Barstool will know more about Big Cat and the Whiz or whatever his name is.

It certainly is controversial. I think FS1 and ESPN is losing money hand over fist. Cable is dying, they got a late jump into streaming and maybe they'll catch up but for right now, ex- hotshot cable channels are throwing money at the problem and hoping.

I don't actually hate him that much, anyone going after his family is a total loser. I'm just explaining why he's such a lightning rod for people.

I’m 100% sure that if the wife of someone like say Harrison Butker for recency sake wouldve tweeted that she was wondering if its a rule that the Golden Globes must be given to every fat black actress , Lil Danny would be totally above board and not target her , their kids , or anyone else related to her in his outrage.

The wife didn't tweet it. The wife told her husband a joke in confidence and he drunkenly shared it with the public.

Dan's an asshole rich kid who may believe that he is smarter than everyone else. He used his platform to wrongly go after professional athletes and some of his peers. To either entertain himself or just to simply be mean. He doesn't apologize. He panders a lot. He's said a lot of things that MANY believe to be racist or sexist. He's looked down on addicts and the poor.

I know it's lost on MANY, but those are all things that have been said about Trump. MANY people posting in this thread will vote for him in 60 days The same people want to destroy the life of a guy who may be exactly like the guy they want to run the country. It's insane.

Dave Portnoy and Barstool are bigger knobs then Bernstein. This is a tough fight because both parties are fuckin clowns. Always good to see local guys go after Barstool though. They steal all of their content. Big cat, sunglasses douche, portnoy etc are all insufferable
