Careful, Speeps. Bernstein also had ACL reconstruction, so that makes him an absolute expert on all things related to proper knee functioning.

The assertation that an athlete cannot come back from an ACL reconstruction and be as effective as he/she was prior to injury is flat out wrong. Bernstein should know better.

Glad I don't listen to this crap. If he thinks Rose will come back the same or better, forget it. There is no way Rose will able to do all the things that made him great. Even if Rose didn't get hurt, he would be unable to keep playing such a reckless style of basketball. He was piling up all sorts of injuries and was going to have to dial it down to survive. Now, he can adjust his game as others have done...but it will be tough at 6 3.

Well, Harper was certainly never the same player. But I'm sure there have been advances in the surgery over the last twenty years. That's why I tune into dr. bernstein.

This 66-game season is unlike any other, but NBA Commissioner David Stern denies the injuries are related to the crammed schedule. That's what he told "another radio station" earlier today... :wink:
